Well I'm new to this forum, but I thought I would put my two cents in here because I'm finally catching up with SPN. I live in Europe so I've been watching the SN 3 DVD. So far, although I've loved every moment of watching Jared because he's so captivating and manages to convey emotion in the most minute change of expression, I have to say that my favorite moments were in "Mystery Spot".

The whole episode was fabulous, but if I have to pick, I would say my two favs were:

1. When he's brushing his teeth after Dean died on Wednesday. Just that utter look of emptiness as he stared off into space while he did it and then looked in the mirror.....devastating.

2. The last scene. He looks near tears the whole time....his eyes are red and wet looking, but he doesn't cry. He just looks sucker punched. Then when he looks at the unmade bed....there's such a wealth of unspoken thought just in a few seconds of his expression. I loved it.

Aw Sylvia You just made me remember that empty look. I definitely saw that. You know what's great about Jared is he can reach out to his audience with his face. His expressions change to convey what he has to tell his viewers.

I loved Clay...

The reunion with his sister was just so moving for F13 being a hack and slash fest, I really loved how sincere Clay looked and he was awesomely heroic!

Sylvia, what a beautiful post!

Thank you, I loved your description like Gay said. Those scenes without Dean like you said, and then at the end when he looks so tired but he just looks at Dean and tries to smile. Ugh, amazing.

Jared had some amazing moments in S3, Fresh Blood is another one.

Great post Sylvia. Man I loved Mystery Spot. Jared did the most amazing job in that ep by showing his emotion on his face without having to say a word. He showed his annoyance by repeating the day and then the lost feeling when Dean died on Wednesday. If I didn't love Jared before that ep would make me fall in love with him

Ya and it showed a lot of people that he does have range. That he can do such amazing things and they finally got to see what he could do. I want more episodes like that.

Agreed! The comedy/tragedy aspect of Mystery Spot was truly brilliant and it gave Jared a perfect platform to show crazy range and he killed it dead.

Ya Kripke needs to give him episodes like that all time instead of all drama or all comedy its nice to see him go back and forth on that.
