That quote is so right on. Finally Sam has an episode to tell his story, and this is what he gets? I'm embarrassed of this fandom. I'm tired, it's 6AM and I'm really cranky. Heh.

If they want really good sex scenes, they should watch some porn. This is a show about people and that sex scene was about Sam's state of mind, not a racy teenage boy fantasy.

I can't even imagine what it takes to take off your clothes and do those kinds of scenes in front of whoever is standing around.

This kid works so hard and he's obviously very proud of what he does and so is everyone that works with him. There's constructive criticism, and there's the fact that you have a right to your opinion. But nobody has a right to diminish what Jared does, what Jensen does, what Kripke and the writers do and so on. This would hurt both guys too.

Don't they realize what they're saying? What the hell is wrong with people? Goodness! Dean and Sam are NOT real, stop taking the show so personal that you have to publicly humiliate somebody's hard work.

After watching a few of the videos from the Chicago Con, truly, I don't even know why they bother showing up any more. Some of the fans (not all, of course) are being so rude and act like they're dead set on embarrassing the guys. I couldn't believe some of the comments and questions... They are NOT your friends, you don't know them, have some respect and common decency.

Oh, I'm shutting up because I'm getting too bothered by this situation. What a shame that the show has landed on this bad patch. What a shame.

I have been slowly exploding over that as well. I will admit, in the SPN fandom, I am kind of a "loner" I hardly ever check out the boards here, although I love the show a lot. But I was so incredibly turned off by some of the fans and their behaviour towards Jensen, Jared and the writers, Kripke and so on.
I guess it all started when that girl jumped Jensen on a con last year (or even before, when Jared canceled a con in favor of WORKING and people freaked out). I call myself very open minded, however, apparently, I am not open minded enough to comprehend why anyone would do such a thing. As well as I really cannot fathom why people pay tons of money (I have checked out how much it costs to go to a con, are they NUTS????!!!) only to go up there and say things like: "Now that we know Sam is a necrophiliac..." Have they lost their minds? I know it's tempting to think that you're close to the guys, especially in a rather small fandom as this, but they don't know us personally! Nor do we know them personally (no matter how well we pretend they know us in dreams or fantasies) and thus we should still show respect. Just because we watch a show we like I don't think they OWE us anything. Most certainly not this.

When I saw the videos from the con I truly saw Jared with different eyes. He was always kind of the big goof in my eyes, maybe even a little immature. But he has shown so much grace and so much maturity towards such so-called fans, I admire him. I probably would have gone up and left. But he sits there and smiles and even turns it into a joke to take the awkward pressure off of everyone else.
When this girl went up to ask a question and lost her nerve he didn't have to jump up and give her a hug. He could have just been like: "Meh, whatever." But he didn't!

The finals went down for Heaven and Hell, but the show still kept above 3million which is awesome.

You're so right on with everything! I know! I get embarrassed just by watching on youtube, I'd probably die if I was there personally, let alone ask something of the sort!

I've always sort of admired Jared because he does well with people, actors sometimes, well, they're not that nice. But he seems genuinely happy and just all around gracious. He's incredibly smart too, so he can handle himself.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, I know! That poor girl. At least she got a hug out of it, it must've been a crazy moment for her to be there, back down, have everyone looking at you, etc. But did a sweet thing by going to her and wow, that earned him major cool points!

Aw Lynn, you totally nailed it. After that Con my respect for Jared as a person and as an actor had grown so much (like million times more). I've always known him as goofy, kind-hearted and nice. But I did learn how patient he is as well. How well-rounded this guy is. It's amazing! I'm truly proud to be a fan. I just hope other "so-called fans of the show" would get a grip and separate reality from tv show.
