As we already know Jared is the host of this newest spooky MTV show. Here's the Meet the Host information found on the MTV's official site.

Jared Padalecki is no stranger to the weird, spooky world that lays within Room 401. The 25-year-old has had his share of chilling onscreen encounters. After getting his big break on the CW series Gilmore Girls, Jared starred alongside Elisha Cuthbert and Paris Hilton in the 2005 horror movie, House of Wax, in which a group of friends find themselves stranded in a ghost town that houses a freakish wax museum. That same year, he also appeared in Cry Wolf, a murder mystery that revolved around college kids who spread Internet rumors about a campus serial killer until they all started disappearing, one by one.

But Jared is probably best known as Sam Winchester on the CW's Supernatural, where each week he must confront paranormal activity and fight ghosts and demons during his quest to find his father. Yes, it has certainly been a long, strange road that has led Jared to Room 401.

In real life, Jared readily admits to being fascinated by mythology and the very real possibility of the existence of supernatural powers. To prepare for his role in Supernatural, he watched TV shows like The X-Files and The Twilight Show and movies such as The Shining and The Ring. Creepy stuff, for sure.

Jared is also superstitious: Whenever he drives through a yellow light or gets on a plane, he kisses his finger and touches the ceiling. So far, that little good luck trick has worked, as Jared is one of the fastest-rising young actors in Hollywood. Let's just hope that luck remains on his side in Room 401.

Me too to be honest.

I didn't even notice that we had eight episodes already. I was looking for some Jared stuff last night and I saw that we haven't got a Room 401 Thread. We keep missing loads on this board and the SPN hiatus is helping me find all the must-have threads here.

Though, honestly, this show creeps the hell out of me. The first time I watched it thought it was a spooky punk'd episode but then there was no disclaimer that the show is just a prank.

yep same here i only saw the first episode and yeah the show did kind of scare the crap out of me it just seemed a little bit too real

ive seen him a few times , the way he talks about it matches the tone of the show.. but i dont get why they dont show how they make the illusions they just do them and then thats it they move on

i really noticed how hot his voice is after watching it like the way he narrates it just made me love his voice more

i would like to know how they do the illusions too i mean because obviously it isn't real or is it dun na na na dun na na

Those are actually streaming videos Tahra I'm not sure if we can download it. There are downloads floating somewhere but all of them are Jared-only scenes.

I love how Jared narrates it as well. I'm not liking the show itself because like what you guys have already mentioned, it's kinda cheesy.
