Jared Padalecki - Jared in "Jus in Bello" SPN 3x12 Episode Discussion

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) break into Bela's (Lauren Cohan) apartment in order to get the Colt back, but she has tipped off Agent Henricksen (guest star C. Malik Whitfield) about their whereabouts and they are arrested. While Sam and Dean are locked in a cell in Colorado, a demon breaks in and kills some of the sheriff's men and possesses Henricksen.

After the guys vanquish the demon, the FBI agent realizes they were telling the truth and prepares to release them, but Ruby (guest star Katie Cassidy) shows up to a warn Sam and Dean that the jailhouse is surrounded by a band of demons with a powerful new leader who wants Sam dead.

Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Sera Gamble.

The episode was really good. Sam knowing the ritual was pretty hot! Jared has a heck of a voice.

I hate Lillith already for saying "one tall one cute." They're both tall and they're both cute, little girl.

^^ I know! I wonder how long it took him to memorize all of that and say it so fast! My brother watched the episode with me for the first time last night-- not sure if I have him hooked to the show yet or not

I hate when they make kids possessed; it's so creepy!

I loved the part where the detective was like "I shot the sheriff.." and Dean gets that grin and goes "But you didn't shoot the deputy."

I'm so glad that the strike ended and SPN is one of the shows that's going back into production for a couple more episodes; I just wish Bones could have, too!

OT: BTW, Rockstar, love the lyrics from Jars of Clay in your sig-- my favorite song of theirs is still "Flood"

The whole episode was AWESOME!

My favorite Sammy parts were, the look he shoots Hendrickson when he tells Dean, take a good look at Sam because that's the last you'll see of him, if looks could kill Hendrickson would have dropped just like that, then just a minute later when Hendrickson said John touched Dean in bad places, the look he shot Dean after the deputy line (hee! Dean you are awesome!) and then the shirt being pulled down to show off matching tatts.

I LOVE THE WINCHESTER BOYS!

I agree. Sam didn't talk much this episode, but he had some cool moments.

It was an AWESOME episode! AWESOME! I couldn't actually think straight after watching it.

But then again, I was looking for some flaws actually, and I thought of the amount of salt Nancy keep in the station. Hmmm... what's up with that? That was just toooo much! Right? Then I was like why are they shooting everyone? I thought they wanted to save the people that were possessed? Then I figured it could only be salt bullets.

Yeah, Dean went to the Impala and they fixed it.

So it's just the amount of salt.

That was just too much!

Okay, as for the episode. Yep, I love how it was written. I hated that Hendricksen's role was eradicated after he's on their side. I never really liked his role but he did okay with me on this episode.

Good thing Bela's scene was just one. THANK YOU KRIPKE! I hated the idea that she's always outsmarting the boys.

Ruby, yes, I still like her. She's willing to sacrifice for the boys? That actually raised questions on me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like her and how her story can be incorporated with the boys' story, but I guess, if she's willing to sacrifice for the boys, she doesn't have to tell them that yes, I'm going to die, too. It would've been better if the writers just let Dean or Sam ask her about it, and like she's going to just keep quiet and nod and say it's okay.

I love love love the humour in this episode.... NOBODY'S KILLING ANY VIRGINS!

It was a very poignant scene and everyone was so serious and then Dean just have to say that! Oh, I love Jensen and his comic timing!

Sammy chanting the Latin exorcism OMG!

SO EFFIN HOT! I love how he reacted fast when the Demon shot Dean. Oh, I also thought evil!Sam was going to like appear when he grabbed Nancy. And good Lord, it was Sammy's brain working. I love how the episode had covered every inch of Sammy's personality and how he also had hardened and toughened.

The tattoos! Jeebus! My Wincest heart just exploded! They have matching tattoos and they are both located near their hearts. Plus, them in one cell.

I sense Omen in here.

I was surprised that it was a little girl. That was a good one. The episode could've been a great season finale. I actually thought when Ruby said there's another leader arising and that she's a girl, I thought maybe Bela!

Devil in disguise... or maybe she's working for Lilith. So she said she got the colt and Dean doesn't know her well? Crap! She could pass up for another of Lilith's supporter.

Fave Sam moment? That exorcism ritual just right after Dean got shot.

He didn't have much shining moment here but in all the episode was awesome!

I don't know what to say about it because everything was said before and I don't want to be repetitive.

Robert Singer gave a interview to SPN Magazine in which he said this season will be all about Sam. Ok, we're in the middle of it (despite the strike) and we're seeing another Sam, a dark Sam.
He (Sam) doesn't speak that much and it was a part of his character to this episode it's nothing to do with Jared! well...

There was two scenes that catch my attention:
- when he used his cuteness, his puppy style to ask for a towel and attacked Nancy to get her rosary.

- and when he hesitated and wanted to go on with Ruby's plan - by the way, it was the best plan because playing the good one in a war??? -.

Did you notice??? Dark Sam. I'm anxious to see what's coming next because I'm loving too see how explored this side of him are, and there are many discussions about it.

Now, that's good to hear (although I can sense some Dean fans not liking it) but for me - bring it on!

I'm not particularly sure which of the two plans was better. Honestly, the spell Ruby told could work, but nope, I'm not sure what good will it give them. And yes, they're going to kill an innocent girl. But yeah, it's for the greater good so it can work. The other plan is a risk. It did work, yes, they were able to kill the demons inside the police station but then they also lost when Lilith showed up after.

Yes, Fabi me too. I love that we're getting a lil complexity in his character and I'm excited how Jared can play it well. I'm looking forward to what's in store for us on the next several episodes.
