Sam, Dean and Bobby set out in search of The Mother of All's latest monster. While investigating, they run into Samuel and Gwen, who are also hunting the creature. Samuel and Bobby get into a heated fight about how to handle the case. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Bret Matthews.

I really loved this episode!!

I was excited to see Roofus, I think that guy is hilarious and all his comments cracked me up!

Whatever that monster that Eve created was disgusting! How it crawled out of the ears and left that nasty goo

Really loved the case though and how you couldn't really tell who it was in, that was very interesting!
I am so glad that Dean killed Gwen and that Sam killed Samuel its about time they died! I was really hoping that they wouldn't drag it out anymore. I'm so tired of them and I hate Samuel and he didn't deserve to live after trying to kill Dean. I just hope that Sam doesn't have guilt over it.

But I'm glad that they didn't kill Bobby, I was afraid that they might because Bobby would have wanted to them to kill him if it meant that was the only way to kill the monster.
Overall I really enjoyed the episode and I love the end scene at the cemetery with Dean talking about family. Its so true especially in their life, family is all they have. They only have each other and they shouldn't waste time being mad about things that happened a long time ago. It was nice to hear Dean tell Sam it didn't matter all the things he did that they all have a clean slate

I agree that I am glad that Samuel is dead.
Gwen not so much because she had the right mind in her head.
But at least we have the Campbell storyline finished. I still don´t know why they put them in there in the first place but that is another story.
Rufus had lots of moments to shine in this episode - so I was really sad to see him go. But I was really glad that it wasn´t Bobbys funeral at the end.
I don´t know if I could handle it. Bobby is such a big part of the SPN family and I can´t imaging SPN without him popping up from time to time.

I love all the interaction between Sam and Dean. Sam protective over Dean when when Samuel pointed the gun at Dean and before when he told him that he will put a bullet in his head when he kills Dean.
And Dean protective over Sam when Sam asked Samuel to tell him what he did last summer. And his worried look when they got separated.

Sam was feeling a little guilty for killing his grandfather because he is family after all. I love Deans respond to that - that you have to earn to be called family and that it has nothing to do with blood.

I would have loved a little showdown between Samuel and Bobby because Bobby is so much more family then Samuel ever was. He would have kicked his butt!!!!!!!

My favorite part is such a small gesture but it shows again that the real Sammy is back and that he cares for his family more then anything. When they are torturting the possessed Bobby - Sam has to turn away because he can´t handle to see Bobby hurt like that. And then when they are done he puts Bobbys face so carefully in his hands and is so gentle to the unconscious Bobby.

I like Deans speech about the clean slate because it is such a big step for Dean. But it gives me the feeling that they will not deal with Sams wall, his time in hell and his soulless time again. And that is one thing I don´t like at all because I want to see Sammys POV about this and how he handle all the things. I hope I am wrong with this thought/feeling but I doubt it. It wouldn´t be the first time they dropped SAMs POV for the greater storyarc.

I loved the eppy! It was one of the best this season! I loved the hunters all together and the one liners. Everybody had great lines and too hated the Grandfather. Jared/Sam looked hot and bobby was fantastic!

Ya I didn't care if they killed Gwen or not she wasn't that bad but like you said I'm just glad that storyline is done with finally!

I noticed that part with Sammy when he was torturing Bobby it was so different from just a few weeks ago when the soulless Sam tried to kill Bobby. Its those little things that make him Sammy. I love it.

Dean's speech does make me wonder whether or not we we will see more of Sam's storyline in hell, I don't want them to just forget it and act like it never happened.

They are on hiatus now! I thought it was on hiatus before this too I barely remembered in time to watch it. But now we don't have a new episode until April!

I'm so upset that there was no ep this week

Sam has been so good in the last ones, what with getting his soul back, and risking remembering Hell with every memory he unearths. I'm surprised Dean let's him get in touch with anything at at that might make him remember things

There were plenty of those in this ep anyhow! When the monster as old Samuel tempted him with tidbits of info about what had happened the last year, I was so scared that he was gonna remember too much

Sort of good that grandpa and Gwen are gone now, if only for that

It's got to be hard on Sam to have had to kill his grandfather though

especially when he doesn't know what he did to Dean.

Ya it is really surprising Dean is letting him do those things especially with how protective he is trying to be of Sam getting his memories back.

Ya I think there will always be things that connect Sam to the lost year.

I have no time to download this these past few weeks but I'm getting my computer back to my 'rents house. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up. Good thing there's hiatus it works for me.
