I can´t wait for this episode. And I am a little bit scared about it.
I hope and I mean really hope that Sam is there for Dean and shows some emotions about it – otherwise I fear we will get another round of why Sam doesn´t Dean the way Dean does with Sam.
And maybe Dean can understand Sam a little better afterwards how it is like to feel like a monster/freak.
I just hope for lots of brother moments and real talk between these two.
Maybe I am getting my hopes to high up but as the saying goes „hope dies last“.

Being in UK I have just watched this episode online. I made a mistake of reading reviews first though and was very nervous about watching it. On other boards there are alot of "we hate Sam", "how could Sam do that" threads and it is understandable, and I think it is great that fans get so "into" the programme but luckily (for my sanity) I have the patience to wait to see over the following weeks what is wrong with Sam, and not assinate him now. Naybe I am not as "obsessed" as I used to be. I love the show but can watch the episodes, read the reviews and then wait for the next promo and the roundabout continues.
As more of a Jared/Sam girl I think it is fantastic that the majority of the threads are about Sam, if the writers intention was to get people talking about every aspect of what could be wrong with Sam, it is certainly working.
Jared is doing fantastic, how many versions of Sam as Jared had to portray since series 1. Jared has always said he prefers doing evil mysterious Sam and I bet he is having a good time.
My only hope is that the hatred that some fans have for Sam does not turn into hatred for Jared, because that would be totally unfair and childish.
I have never seen Twilight (only know who RP is because of Harry Potter), Vampire Diairies etc. so I was worried I would not understand some of the references but everyone know the theories about vampires so I didn't need to have seen these movies/shows.
Roll on next week.

Im not really sure what to think about this episode it left me pretty confused. A lot was happening and I'm not really sure what is going on. I think I need to watch it again.
I knew after watching this episode though that the Sam hate would be back and worse then ever, and while I can understand why fans would be pissed at Sam right now Im more just intrigued and what is going on with him. Ya I was pissed and yelling at first when Sam just stood there and let Dean get attacked but I figured out what he was doing almost immediately and of course that doesn't excuse it but I'm more interested in see where this is going to go. Because they have to be leading up to something big with Sam and that's exciting.

I didn't read your comments yet because I have yet to watch the episode. Though a friend of mine said that I'm in for a shock re: Sammy. And it sounded bad. I fear watching it now.

I agree with you angelface (about the confusion) and that is one of the reasons I haven´t wrote my comment on this episode already.

Even if I am totally disappointed and devastated of Sam - I really like this episode.

Good story telling and keeping the suspense.

The Twillight jokes were funny.

Jensen did such an awesome job as Vamp!Dean. When he first gets back in the hotelroom and everything is to loud and to bright - is acted really well. And what broke my heart the most is Deans "Sammy" when he was bite on the street. When he meets Lisa I got really scared for a moment and felt so bad for him during it. But what was he thinking when he went anyway....

Jared is doing a terrific job as this different (icecold) Sam. Although I really wished we would get our beloved Sammy back - Jareds acting is topnote!!!

I can not not love Sammy but I can´t tell you how much my heart broke when I saw him just standing there and watching Dean get turned. For the life of me I can´t imaging what he was thinking and why would he do such a thing?
The writers must have a really reallly good explanation for it otherwise I don´t know if I can forgive Sammy. Sure I love him and until now I got lots of excuses to defend him but this time I can not come up with a single one.
I got the impression that he couldn´t care less for Dean and that was sooo horrible to watch. He didn´t even asked him once how Dean felt or shown any signs that he cared at all. At the end I wanted to hug Dean big time I felt so sorry for him.

But I am glad that he got suspisious again about Sammy so maybe we will finally get some answers about him in the next episode. We deserve it !!!!

Yes Jensen's acting was phenomenal along with Jared in this episode, they both did so great and that is what I enjoyed most about the episode.

Im with you as well Sunny I always agree with Sam and side with him on everything but when this all comes out if they don't have a good explanation then I don't know if I can forgive him either. There is a lot of questionable things that Sam has done but just standing there watching Dean get turned like that..I don't know it just broke my heart to have him stand there and then afterward not even express any concern whatsoever for Dean. I am glad as well that Dean is suspicious of Sammy now because I want this all to come out.

Yeah he did some really stupid things in the past.
But until this episode you knew that at the end of the day he would die for Dean in a heartbeat and do everything in his power to make sure he is safe. But to see this gone is so heartbreaking I can´t even describe it at all.

Exactly! All the questionable things he did you could still see the love for his brother there and now...not so much. It can't be Sam, I don't know what I would do if this is really Sam

I'm heartbroken, girls. I don't even know where to start.

I love Sam and I wanted to know what happened to him in hell. But no, I cannot stand him just stood there and let Dean be turned. My initial reaction was "WTF, Sammy?!" I was furious. This isn't my Sammy. Then Dean called him "Sammy." I wanted to punch Sam right then and there. It's Dean! It's his brother. The brother he had put on a pedestal and saved so many damn times. It was painful; it was heartbreaking.

Though, I cannot get myself to hating Sammy too much. There must be a damn good reason for him to be that cold. The writers MUST have a good explanation. I can't just sit and watch them destroy one of my heroes without any good reason at all.

Jared and Jensen both did a marvelous job. Hats off to both of them.

That's what Im saying too Gay there better be a really good reason why they are making Sammy this way and if there isn't I don't know I will lose my faith in this show
