Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a small town where the wishing well really works. A teddy bear comes to life, someone wins the lottery and the town geek gets a hot girlfriend. The brothers realize that while everyone is happy now, the end result will be disastrous.

Robert Singer directed the episode written by Ben Edlund.

the episode had me laughing, esp the whole teddy bear doctors, Sam was adorable!

the last bit was hurty too, I feel bad for both Sam and Dean.

Ohh I laughed more than I lauged at all the previous comedy episodes combined. It was hilarious, I loved the change of scenery and the boys were indeed so adorable! Teddy doctors, "put some pants on," etc, etc.

Of course that was all cute until the end totally broke my heart! Great episode!

Hmmm... Okay not much though.

I loved the episode. A right mixture of funny, angsty and squee moments.

Sammy had really changed from Season 1. He grew up. He won't wish for something to let him out of hunting, he'll wish for Lilith's head on a plate. That's something Dean has to ponder on. It's scary to think that Sam will think of that considering it is our Sammy. Though, if you see it in Sam's view, it does make sense. Even the nicest person on earth can wish for revenge.

As for Dean, why are you closing it all in? So Sam won't understand you? Why not try it? It's actually the same issue he had with Sam - keeping secrets, lying. Well, yeah, we're past the lying issue already but I think it's about time that both of them let go of their inhibitions be a brother to each other. The disconnect or gap is getting wider and yes, scary.

Ya exactly Gay, it was weird at first to hear what Sam's wish was because he used to wish so hard for a way out of hunting and be normal but you're right from Sam's point of view it makes total sense for him to want revenge.

I do understand why Dean wants to keep it all in because he doesn't think Sammy will understand and there is now way to really make it better by talking about it. But that doesn't mean that he can't try. Shouldering it himself isn't going to make it better only worse. because now Sam knows he's in pain and the fact that Dean won't share it with him is going to put stress on their relationship. There has just been way to many secrets and lying between the brothers this season and its getting old.

I just don't understand why if it's Dean keeping secrets to sam it is okay, and if it's Sam it isn't? What's the difference? Where's the disconnect?

I am right there with you Gay. It doesn't make sense. Everything seems to be okay for Dean, there's always an excuse for his secrets but not for Sam

I'm glad that you agree. No matter what Dean thinks that it won't help to talk about it he needs to. It ain't gonna make it any better by not talking about it.
