Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious deaths of several men who apparently dropped dead of fright. They visit one of the victims in the morgue, and Dean becomes infected with the illness which starts as a general anxiety, then moves on to full-blown terror that eventually stops the heart.

Sam and Bobby (Jim Beaver) must find the root of the disease before Dean dies and is sent back to Hell.

Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin.

Not my favorite episode, but it was good. The brotherly relationship was good. Sam's "awwwww" and Bobby saying that Dean was adorable was great.

Ohhhh, so Sam is going dark, heh? The foreshadowing is too strong at this point.

I loved this episode. Not my favorite either but I thought it was great. It was funny and had good brother moments plus we got Bobby.
I agree Nikki the foreshadowing is getting very strong at this point I'm scared to see how this all turns out.
Dean cracked me up. He was so scared and his facial expressions were hilarious, when he screamed about the cat I thought I was going to die laughing. And then at the end were Sam and Bobby was making fun of him was hilarious.
One thing that I didn't really like was the fact that Dean lied to Sam about seeing Lilith. After this whole thing between them with Sam lying and Dean being mad about it I would think that Dean would tell him everything. I'm just sick of the brothers lying to each other, its getting old.

Overall though I loved the episode. We need to see more of Bobby

Dean being scared was so cute, then trying to be tough at the end.

I give Dean a pass for lying because Sam is pretty smart, he's going to know that his brother seeing Lillith isn't good for them right now. However, the subject may come up soon. I'm scared too for what this means for the future.

Right on! Bobby is amazing! I love when he's around.

Ya it was great that he finally tried to be tough at the end.
Ya I know that it isn't good for them right now but I just wish that they would stop lying to each other about things. It would be easier if they were just honest with each other

Seriously, I AM STILL suppressing my laughter. (My sister will wake up, if I don't).



Now this is the episode I want to watch over and over again, it got a little bit of everything in it. It was comedic but at the same time they stick to what the whole season is about.

Can I say bring evil!Sam now? Oh, well... Jared's so hot playing him. I'm like OMG! Jeebus! I am blabbing and pardon me if I can't write a proper review now because of him.


I'm gathering my thoughts... I am going to post a more cohesive review later.

I agree Gay. This is an episode that you can just watch over and over. It had the comedy but still had a good storyline that went with the rest of the season. I wish the eps were this good all the time

I know, after a few rewatches, it's still funny, something to rewatch over and over again I love it.

Gay, I agree. Jared was smoking hot as evil!Sam yum!

But I love how Sam's face changes like every 10 seconds because of Dean, concerned, amused, annoyed, and anything in between. Dean was SO funny in this episode, terrified of everything

I really think this will shape out to be an awesome season, and the whole brother vs brother thing will hurt me

Evil Sam is hot but scary!

Just rewatched this with my friend and I liked it better the second time around. I laughed and everything.

"I'll man the flashlight" was just sooo funny.

Well, if Dean is keeping secrets to Sammy, it's about time that he gives Sam some slack for lying before. It's about time they hold on to each other for support, not against each other. He has to tell Sam soon.
