Hooray for a new episode that looks awesome. I hope it's good, Pushing Daisies had an amazing episode centered around magicians not so long ago and I'd love for this episode to be great too.

For those who doesn't know Criss Angel. He is a magician, illusionist, musician, escapologist, and stunt performer. He has his own show called Mindfreak. __________________

She really gave Sam an angle again, plus Jared was really great performing everything. What a nice episode. Depressing but well done. The guest stars rocked it, everything was great.

| I left a review on the main SPN board, so I thought I'd drop it off here too... I really enjoyed this episode. I haven't read back so Idk if it's been said or not, but I got this extremely uneasy feeling about the boys tonight. Maybe I was reading too much into the dialogue of the ep, but something tells me things are about to get really bad. ![]() My poor Sammy . Trying sooooo hard to be good while also trying to do the things he thinks need to be done in order to save everyone. My heart broke for him tonight. I know Ruby is not a popular person within this fandom, but I personally like Sam's relationship with her. Don't ask me why or how because I couldn't tell you, but there's just something there that I enjoy. Not so much Dean tonight, so I don't really have a whole lot to say about him other than his comedic timing is excellent, as always. It cracked me up at just how many times the word "****** bag" was used. I was like way to go, writers! ![]() Overall, great episode. It was very nice to see Barry Bostwick. I loved him as the Mayor on Spin City. __________________ |Mandi| icon: certainswagger@lj and i can hear the bells are ringing joyful and triumphant... |LoVe| | |||

I was really sad throughout the episode. It was so heavy and so depressing (but gooood.) I kept hearing that old Harry Potter promo, "Dark times lie ahead, Harry." Because this episode set the stage for a future brother break up. Not forever of course, but it could get really ugly. It's exciting but it's also scary. Dean is losing Sam. Sam can't seem to trust his faith like he used to. He's out to save the world by himself and that path will get him killed. Sam and Ruby are just interesting. They fascinate me. She's playing him, she absolutely has his number, he's almost helpless when she gets to really work him over. Whether she's "all evil" or not, she's still manipulating his love for his brother, his guilt, the fact that he needs a happy ending somehow. Sam is risking it all this time. Good stuff. Quote:
whenever it was said. lol Great review! ![]()

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I watched it! ![]() All right first off, I didn't understand why Sam had to not tell Dean that Ruby paid a visit. I mean he told him about getting Lilith head cut off or what, but he didn't tell the pressing stuff at hand - that Ruby was asking him to use his powers again. I do understand Sam for wanting to go get off the night and sneak in with Ruby. He believes her - that he can try and end it by ending Lilith. What would man like Sam think? At some point in his life, there's a demon who's on his side and who believes in him and is telling him that he can do it. Sam being the "I want to save as much people as we can" would go with that flow. I think her words got stuck in his head and then was pushed more when Jay said something about killing his brother for the greater good. Though, I'm not good in Sam lying again to Dean about Ruby. Yes, I did understand his point before and yes, I can discuss and defend Sam to the nth time about lying to Dean first time and sleeping with Ruby before (though I won't go into that again, I've explained it before), but not telling Dean what Ruby told him again is not good, Sammy. Especially after Dean opened up to him about his time in hell. I think it'll drive them more apart and would give us that brother vs brother plot. I feel so sad for Sammy though for feeling all the burden is on his shoulders. It's the demon blood he's carrying, it's all about it. It breaks my heart to see him like that - not trusting what he used to trust before... It's depressing. Anyway, I did enjoy the episode. It had great parallelism in terms of Sam.Dean relationship with Jay/Charles'. Do I think it's great to kill my brother for the sake of mankind? That was the pressing question and that would be really hard to answer. I bet in my life Dean and Sam wouldn't answer that in one quick thinking. I liked how the episode played well into the whole arc of S4. I love how it posed questions, conclusions, foreshadowing to us. I love the humor, the title and yes, on a shallow note - Jensen and Jared looked so mighty good. Jared in his tight polo was I was ogling at his every move as his muscles just contours his shirt. And there was one point that I was telling my sister, "Oh, see. I love the reference of saving the world but killing Charlie... oh wait, OMG! Did you see Jensen's eye lashes? Whoa. Beauty!" We had to rewind the scene after that. ![]() Overall, I love the episode. __________________
