Anna (guest star Julie McNiven) remembers her past and Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) finally understand why Castiel (guest star Misha Collins) and Uriel (guest star Robert Wisdom) want her dead.

However, they disagree with the angels' orders and try to help Anna restore an important part of her past so she can be saved.

Meanwhile, Alastair (guest star Mark Rolston) and his demons continue to close in on Anna and the brothers.

J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Eric Kripke.

I knew they'd be going on hiatus after this one. Just two weeks ago I told my husband that they were probably getting ready to go on hiatus after the next couple of eps and he was like "how do you know that?" I said, I can just tell. Obviously I watch too much tv.

Happy SPN day girls! The show will be back January 15 next year, though.

Nikki and Nat1 It's a good thing that we'll get our Christmas Cottage DVD and I'll get my SPN DVD, too.

I loved this episode at first, I thought about it for a few minutes and realized I didn't like it as much as I thought I had at first.

But I still dug parts of it. This post will have spoilers for the episode.

That was a lot to take in. I'm down with Ruby wether she's evil or "good," so if she's good and it's established now, cool. I'm okay. I've always loved her anyway and I'm really, REALLY hoping Genevieve makes it and she if she leaves, I don't want anyone else playing Ruby.

But this angel business is making me upset. All the angels they have introduced have such shaky faith (Castiel and Anna) or they have too much faith, but in themselves (Uriel.)

I loved having Pamela back and I hope she finds her way back into the show again next year. She's refreshing with her brand of humor and personality. In a season so serious, we need her.

But it seems like the odds are in Lillith's favor, and while that's what the show needed to return next year, the episode felt empty when it ended. Like nothing had happened, and the angel crew took a huge hit with Anna, Uriel and Castiel being so dysfunctional. They're not exciting any more.

Jensen Ackles again, knocking it out of the park in that last scene. JP was SO good in this. His concern for Anna in the opening scene was so felt, and I loved how he played it. Then his confusion. Amazing.

Ruby getting tortured, ouch. But also? Cortese, poor girl, she's been shown in her underwear and practically naked 3 times already. I hope she doesn't mind.

I need to sleep on it then rewatch tomorrow to see how I feel about it for sure. However, it is without a doubt the weakest episode of the season. And it's a shame it closed the first half because it leaves a bad taste in my mouth a little bit.
