I hope so, I'm leaning towards maybe he just didn't know how to handle being in that position.

Jeremy can come up with really good stories, I just don't like his flow, it seems choppy at times.

Hmmm... that kinda explains the little disconnect with the brotherly stuff. The brotherly moments are great. I love that Dean poured his heart by saying he's scared and Sam tellin him he's there to save him. That was really heartwarming.

You guys know I love angst much right? I'm still saying this is better than last week's episode but the there's something missing.

I actually thought Sam was out of character. Well, when Dean was shouting, freaking out, telling him it could be John - what did Sam do? Told Dean to stay there until he gets back and left without saying anything. And worse is... left? for what? For Lanie? So he chose to deal with Lanie first before Dean? There was one instance, (I think it was when gordon got killed) Dean wants to go and Sam just told him to stop? (or was it vice versa) but thing is they both stayed inside the room, trying to protect each other. So that was my point. It seemed not Sam to not tell Dean (first hand) that he's there for him.

To make it much worse is the transition from Sam killing the bad guy to the hotel and both of them agreeing that Sam will also do anything to save Dean. I think a lil more angst on that scene would have been much better. I just thought they took it so lightly. Drinking beer after Dean dealing with frustration knowing that it wasn't John? and Sam not knowing what to do to save Dean and especially after finding out that Ruby had told Dean that he cannot be saved? I wouldn't sit and be comfy with those disturbing thoughts. I'd say I'll have a heart to heart talk with my brother and tell him how much I'm going to miss if he's gone.

Well... I think I did like the episode. Did it really show?

Gay you hit all the nails right on the head! I felt Sam was really diconnected in this episode, and with Dean's time just days/weeks away you'd think he'd be right there besided Dean, willing to believe that maybe this is the answer, and if he knew it wasn't then at least be there for Dean to soften the blow when it becomes painfully clear to Dean that this isn't John and this isn't the answer to save him. It seemed that Sam felt bothered by putting up with Dean at all when there was a hunt to be done. It was very unSam like.

Yeah, Bee I do understand Sam that he doesn't want to give hopes to Dean that it is John. But at least say something right? Say something like, "I know Dean. It could be dad or it could be not. But let's do this together all right? Let's find out together." I was expecting that Sam would say that, instead he left. Sammy, not so good this episode, huh?
