Jared Padalecki - Episode Discussion 5X15: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

Airing Thursday March 25, 2010 at 9/8 Pm

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate Bobby's home town where the dead are rising from the grave but instead of attacking humans, they are happily reuniting with their families. The brothers turn to Bobby (Jim Beaver) for help but he tells them not to worry about it and to leave town. Suspicious, Dean investigates and comes face to face with Bobby's dead wife (guest star Carrie Anne Fleming) who has no memory of what happened to her. Once the zombies start turning evil, the boys tell Bobby he has to kill his wife but he refuses.

Ok so this will be a long post:

At first Jared looks so hot, esp. in that Jeans WOW ( sorry i have to say that)

Second: I feel so so sorry for Bobby. He loves his wife so damn much and she died in front of him twice. Oh Bobby. Wanna hug ya. He was so happy and when he was begging the boys not to kill her it brokes my heart.

Third: Now about the brothers: THIS was so first time in a long time that the brothers are THE BROHTERS again. I mean The looks between them and when they have done the same things at the same moment, like to show their FBI marks or when they were at Bobby´s house and When his Wife was behind the door, their synchronal turn to BOBBy with the same face impression.
Ewwwww and then the scene with that old lady zombie. Disgusting. But funny too. Sam was standing there in that room and didn´t want to go near the lady zombie. ANd when she beckons him over ohhh his face.

This is one of Jared´s talents. He can show so much with his face. Oh and when she was attacking him and her spittle was trippping all over his cheek. eeewww.
But i´m afraid now. So the death was using Bobby against the boys??? So if Bobby would be dead, dean and Sam wouldn´t have anybody who watch for them???

One more thing. I really wanted to se a talk between them about the last epi. YOu know Sam in that Panic room and Dean with the horseman. Damn i thought there would be something about it... BUT NOOOO!!!!! Anyway i like that epi..

I liked this episode I too was disappointed that we got no talk of the panic room or anything that happened in the last episode but I kind of expected that.

Man Bobby, poor guy having to kill his wife twice, no man should have to go through that at all let alone twice.

I did feel like the brothers were the brothers again as well, they were in sync in everything they did kind of had a season 1 feel to it I loved it.

Had a lot of funny moments I loved in the diner in the beginning when the sheriff was calling the FBI "supervisor" and she recognized it as Bobby the look on the boys faces was hilarious.
And then with the nasty zombie and Sam not wanting to go near her, I loved how he was all you can tell me from here

So great. Jared is amazing!

I don't know what to think about Death using Bobby but its understandable that if Bobby wasn't around that Sam and Dean might give in to Michael and Lucifer. It would make sense because they would have no father figure and no one to disappoint but each other really

I like this episode! Especially the ending - it was so heartbreaking to see Bobby like that. So devastated and without any energy left.
Dean and Sam communication with their eyes. And then Sammy almost begging Bobby to say that he will be right again and Bobby can´t bring himself to do it.
It is really so sad to watch these three standing there. They are all what is left for them and it is heartbreaking to watch when Sam and Dean realise that they were and are the reason for Bobbys suffering.
Jareds looks in that scene nearly kills me...

Oh I forgot to mention that I was a little disappointed, too, that we didn´t get anything about the time after Sam went in the panic room and Dean cries for help.
Somehow both are straighten up and moving forward to their next job. Just a line about it would have been enough...

Great episode! I haven't been able to watch SPN in awhile so it was definitely nice to watch it on it's actual night. I like the humor they randomly give Sam/Jared.

I wanted them to kind of deal with Sam after the panic room but I guess they've done it before so maybe we'll get little tidbits on the succeeding episodes.
