The stuff with saving the lady angel, and well at lest half of the stuff she did in season 3 seemed wildly wrong for where it ended up...

Yeah I always thought that too. It seemed like an easy way to get Ruby out more than a connection to her past.

100% with you there. I think the producers just took the low road to deal with an "unpopular character" rather than give the story a meaningful progression.

Yeah I think that too and it sucks because Ruby did have fans and it would have better for the story to not do it that way.
