Curveball / The Fall Issue

Ugly Betty concludes the season with a shocking two-hour telecast. In the first hour, entitled “Curveball”, just as Betty agrees to move in with Matt, Henry (guest star Christopher Gorham) pays a visit to NYC, forcing Betty to admit she still has feelings for her former fiancé. Meanwhile, Betty and Marc wait to see if their YETI editor interviews resulted in actual jobs; Daniel’s transformation from playboy to devoted husband makes him a media darling, and Wilhelmina cozies up to Victoria Hartley to find out just what kind of connection Claire Meade has to Cal Hartley.

In “The Fall Issue” , the sudden death of a Mode editor leaves Betty and Marc competing for the same job. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina demands that Claire tender her resignation at a big awards ceremony or she’ll reveal Claire’s dark secret to Cal Hartley. Matt lets his jealousy over Henry get the best of him; and Justin nervously waits to see if he got into performing arts school.

A lot of emotions plenty of Detty adorable scenes/hugs and I couldn't care less about Henry, but man, Chris is in good shape

Best moment ? The Antonio Sabato Jr dream America is a lucky girl

I loved both episodes! I agree, it was very emotional. But there was some great comedy of course too.

- LOVED the Marc/Wilhelmina stuff. As well as the Daniel/Betty.
- I liked the way Henry/Betty played out.
- I don't like/care about Matt. But omg the end! I wasn't expecting that.
- I wasn't ever a Molly fan, but her death was sad, mostly because of Daniel's face at the end.
- Rachel Dratch is amazing.
- I was disappointed that Justin didn't get into that school. But what made me even sadder was hearing part of the reason he wanted to go. His talk with Marc was great! There couldn't have been a better person for him to talk to about it.
- The Claire/Cal/Victoria thing was crazy.
- Amanda getting drunk was awesome. That scene between her, Marc, and Betty was cute.

Why did they have to let her die?? omg i honestly cant explain into words how upset i am with how the writers ended this season. Why would they take away from daniel the love of his life??! i dont get it. im in shock.

i dont think i can watch this show again. i was SUCH a big molly and daniel supporter. why did they do this.

Molly had cancer, I would've thought it was kind of obvious that she wasn't going to make it past this season...

Anyway, I really enjoyed those episodes! Natasha, I think I'm in the same boat as you for the most part.

I wasn't pleased with how Betty seemed to regress with the appearance of Henry, and I think she was stupid in going to see him again, because as much as Matt is unlikeable, he didn't deserve being treated like that. But then I like that the show has finally closed that road off and basically given the two closure. It's fair to them and the fans.

I was very surprised by Matt saying he was now her boss, though! I think he's going to become even more unlikeable.

I'm so glad Betty made Editor, she totally deserves it, and this is the kind of thing she's been working her whole life towards, so YAY!! It's great that she's finally started moving forwards and out of the assistant position, I can't wait to see how she deals with it!

Wilhelmina has just disappointed me again, she started off nicely this season and now it seems like she's just gotten colder and colder. It's not even her company at all! Gah, I don't want her to be able to find Connor, just so it means she isn't victorious for once and the Meades can beat her. Claire not handing in her resignation was a good start, though, I'm really glad Cal sided with her. Although the fact she gave the baby up for adoption was such a shock! You just know they're going to bring that back into the show somehow, I'm intrigued.

Daniel and Betty were so much love, and it's all their scenes in these episodes that make me wonder how Silvio can be so stupid, but I digress. I genuinely loved everything about them, but especially the end scene. Poor Daniel, though!! His wee face!

I really did enjoy the finale on the whole, much more than I thought I would! They tied up some loose ends but also opened new cans of worms for next season, haha. I can't wait to find out how it all unfolds!

A lot happened in the finale.

First off, Betty was stupid about to whole Henry thing. I was starting to warm up to Matt a little. Now that he's her boss and it's not going to be pretty. But I am glad Betty became editor though. She deserves it.

I feel bad for Marc though. He wanted the job too, but he'll have his day. He's not just Wilhelmina's assistant. I'm hoping Wili doesn't find Connor either mainly because for once, I want the Meades to win.

So Claire gave up the baby for adoption. You know they're going to bring that up next season.

My favorite part was at the end with Daniel and Betty. Betty was really there for Daniel and he really needed a friend.

It sucks we have to wait until the fall to see what happens. I want to know now!

I agree about the baby coming back I actually thought that MAYBE either Matt or Daniel were Claire and Cals but then the adoption thing came up and I was suprised to say the least
all in all the season finale to me was just OKAY

The Finale was ok I thought it might be a little better.

Betty was acting stupid by not telling Matt that she kissed Henry,he deserved the truth.

I feel bad for Daniel because he really loved Molly,and his face at the end was so sad. I am glad Betty was there for him as she usually is when he is in a crisis.

I did like the Marc and Justin talk was sweet,Justin really needes someone who understood what he was feeling.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Betty was stupid about the Henry thing I'm just glad that's done with, to be honest!

Ooh, I forgot to mention this before! I have no idea though, it's really bugging me. I can't think who would shock her that much - Connor maybe? But then why would he even be back, 'cos as far as he knows, he's still wanted as a fugitive and he'd go straight to jail. And that'd be too easy, since she's looking for him now. I really don't know, that's going to annoy me all summer!
