Episode 3x15 - "There's No Place Like Mode" Discussion Thread
There's No Place Like Mode Thursday 19th February, 2009 Fashion Week brings chaos to the Modies, as Betty copes with simultaneously putting on a show for a bizarre new designer named Heinrich and with an assignment from YETI to partner up with Matt (guest star Daniel Eric Gold), who works at a sports magazine, to learn about each other's jobs. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina fears she's lost her edge in the fashion world because she's been spending too much time with Conner, Daniel tries giving Molly a makeover, and a new member of the Mode team makes a dramatic entrance. I like Matt, alot And I'm glad he got Betty to find a reason to continue working with fashion.
The ending with the birth on the runway was hilarious!!! Especially with the confetti and Isaac Mizrahi's comments. Why is Daniel's girlfriend in the hospital? Is she pregnant? Or is she sick? I like that Hilda was able to stop and call a truce with Elena. Justin cracked me up about the robe! __________________

This was a good one. =)
Bettys new *possible* love intresst seems dull though. Suddently Gio seems like the perfect guy. xP (didn't use to think so) I felt bad for Hilda. I know exaclty the feeling with divorced parents new partners. I hate that they always have to be such nice persons on TV though, cuz that is not the case always. -__-;; (I hate both my dads girlfriend and moms boyfriend. They are not nice persons.) Anyway, in this case Hilda is an adult and Ignacio has been alone for maaaany years, plus I don't dislike Elena (or wth her name is xD). Although I think is alittle gross to watch them "make out". =S
Spoiler:
The ending scene was super cute! Almost exactly like previous Fashion Week ending xD I like Molly, but I'm not so sure I like Daniel & Molly.
Spoiler:
Overall it was a pretty decent episode. Kinda boring in the beginning but it got better. =) |

Nice episode..--
I liked Matt.. he was nice.. he seems more of a friend though rather than betty's love interest. The Birth on the runway was sooooo funny! OMG.. whats wrong with Molly.. :o The Detty ending was.. awesome.. just like before fashion week ending.. them two walking together in the end.. this time chilled.. awwww. love them! |

Matt I like him, alot.
I hate to say this here, but I was NEVER a fan of Gio. I didn't get the chemistry and the OTP around it. I always felt they were mismatched and I was glad Betty chose herself instead of him. I feel like this season has really stepped up. I find it to be very "must see" again and while it's not as crowded plot-line wise, I find the humor, drama, and heart is intact. And I find myself relating more and more to Betty. __________________

NoLimits You're entitled to your opinion I dont think anyone would say anything bad to you about that *shrugs* I respectfully disagree though I liked Gio more then Henry I was NOT Sad when he left *shrugs* I mean Yeah i'm a Major Daniel and Betty Fan but I dont know Gio seemed nicer and better for Betty then Henry had but thats just my opinion (and I'm not that sad that Gio's gone either so its all good really)

this one reminded me of the 'i'm coming out' episode from season 1. for the exception of kissed off, this one was much better than the last few episodes. last week's courtship of betty's father was just dull.
anyhow here are my positives: matt- i really liked this guy. my initial impression of him is that he would be very much like henry, but in truth he is the complete opposite. plus, he seems like a nice guy too and very likable and easy going. plus, he is kind of cute too. christina giving birth- finally! negatives- the OTT scene with willie holding the baby and opera music blasting from the background. the birth scene itself was rather dissapointing interestingly, this is the first episode i actually liked that didn't have much of marc and amanda. but overall, it was great and i hope to see more of matt as well. __________________

Now this is what I'm talking about. Great episode though I expected the birth to last a little longer than, like, five minutes. But it was intriguing none the less.
The whacko designer had me making odd faces and cracking up, Connor and Wili made me smile and finally believe they could make it as a couple, and Molly's finally got me interested with her little hospital trip (though I hope this isn't leading up to killing her off. That seems a little too predictable). Daniel's girl problems were overshadowed by my glee at seeing Christina again, Amanda and Marc had some fun moments (Amanda's secret shame that she couldn't read and Marc offering to jump out the car to cheer up Wili! Priceless.) Meanwhile, the Hilda/Elena plotline was handled fairly well (as an aside, I totally own a pair of stirrup pants. ), Justin made good use of his screen time, and my dear Betty may have been acting childish when she was griping about sports but she came around and she was awesome! Oh, and Betty's new partner seems like a cool guy. I think I like him better than I liked that guitarist. Definitely like him more than Gio. (Word, no limits. ) __________________

It's Ken, btw.
I liked Jessie - until they made him boring and a narcascist. I found it funny when Heinrich kept saying to Betty - "And later we make love" and Betty kept saying Okay? Matt/Betty - Definetly see sparks! I love how he approached her, he was excited to be with her... seriously, Betty gets the best guys. Jealous! __________________
