Meanwhile, Hilda starts a clandestine beauty salon when the city turns down her permit for a legal business, and Connor's fiance (guest star Sarah LeFleur) meets the Modies.

EOnline’s Kristin Gives A Hint About Ugly Betty Episode 3.08

As you recall, I (and many others) wondered what is the storyline in the promo for Ugly Betty episode 3.08, Tornado Girl, where Wilhelmina seems to be shooting at the car Betty, Marc and Amanda are driving. (BTW, look at the promo closely. Marc is in the driver’s seat, but seems incapacitated, and Betty grabs the wheel). I think we may have a clue what might be going on, thanks to Kristin’s spoiler chat at EOnline:

So, tell me what you think of this theory. The main storyline of tonight’s episode is that Betty has to rush to keep a disastrous issue of Mode from shipping. Now, I’m about 99% sure that Betty doesn’t have a car. So, my guess is the car that she’s (Marc’s) driving in the promo belongs to Connor’s fiance, and Wilhelmina thinks she’s shooting at the fiance. If true, it would kind of be like Alexis endangering herself and her brother in an attempt to kill their father.

It’s a theory, at least. The only question is, how does Connor’s fiance get involved, if I am right? Is she there when Betty tells Connor about the impending disaster? Or is Connor at the retreat, and the fiance at Mode by chance?

Or maybe I’m totally wrong. But, I’d say the chances are pretty good that Wilhelmina will be at the retreat, Connor will tell her that his fiance is on the way, and Wilhelmina will sneak away to attempt to kill her (she is in the woods, after all).

What do you think is going on? Regardless, we’ll find out tonight!

I loved the episode! It's still a little early to be talking, but I'm really glad the show got its groove back.

The highlight of the episode was the Marc/Betty/Mandy stuff in the car. I love those three together so much. I adored Betty and Mandy going to work together at the beginning of the episode (loved Amanda throwing out B's bagel for her own good ) and I loved that Marc told Betty about the foul play concerning the tornado issue. I also enjoyed their talk at the end, but I really wish he talked to Amanda. In any case, I liked their bonding. The Marc/Cliff scene at the end was really sad, because I love Cliff and I'd hate to see him off the show.

I also loved the Betty/Daniel stuff, too. He was feeling really guilty as soon as Betty started to get the blame for the issue, but I hated that he didn't at least come clean to Betty. He definitely made up for it, though. Their "sorry" scene was adorable. I loved how he was trying to make his way over, but got flooded with the press.

I'm not feeling the Daniel/Molly/Connor/Willie storyline at all. I love that Willie has a crush (loved her scene with Marc), but Molly's completely blah for me. Her character bored me from the start and Daniel falling for Connor's fiance is unoriginal. Also, I don't know what to make of Connor. I really don't trust him right now.

I don't know how I feel about Archie and Hilda. They don't have that spark, but there is potential. He was sweet in the end and I loved their little flirting at the end, which didn't go unnoticed by Justin. By the way, how cute was Ignacio getting all excited that he was at their house? I also liked all the Suarez family stuff. I think there was a good amount. I wasn't missing any of them, which usually happens.

The episode lacked Christina and enough Claire, who always brings it. Totally loved her exchange with Willie.

Side note but, Marc's hair/outfit was really distracting for me. I love his wavy/semi-curly hair. It being straight and parted was just a little weird for me. Also, his outift reminded me of Star Trek.

I don't know. The show does not seem to have one big storyline. It is kind of all over the place. There was no follow-up to last week's episode.

The episode wasn't extremely eventful and I wish we got to see Jesse, but I think this week was more about setting up/development. And you're right about the big storyline, although we are seeing Betty trying to be more independent, taking chances and focusing more on advancing at work.

glad i'm not the only one who feels this way about his hair . marc looks better with curly hair, not to mention cuter too . i prefer him with the curly locks as that is more his style.

This episode was my favorite since Gio left. I was really entertained with this one and it was the first time I'd laughed in a long time with this show.

Betty: Well, for once she wasn't annoying and i'm glad she stepped up for herself. I just love her friendship with Marc, ever since he 'came out' to her their friendship always meanted more to me out of all of Betty's relationships/friendships.

Betty & Daniel: Not nice Daniel, but i'm glad he stepped up and told everyone that it was him and not Betty who caused that scandle.

Betty & Mandy: Love these roomies they are bonding and are not on each others nerves. I see that Mandy is totally different while living with Betty and it brings out a whole other side to her, which I really like.

Hilda: Yeah, she can finally get her permit and restart doing hair. I'm so happy for her and you know what the counsler and her would make a great pairing. New ship for me perhaps!

Justin: I am so glad he had more then 1 scene in this episode and he really had me rolling with some of his lines.

Whili/Conner/Molly/Daniel: I would like the square to happy but with Daniel & Molly together and Whili & Conner together.
