but vol 2 was to lead up to vol 3.. probably would have been better if we got all of it at the same time.. but longer season for vol 3 is way better

I'm so happy Volume 2 is being released on Blu-Ray! And that they are also re-releasing Volume 1 on Blu-Ray! What to do with my DVD and HD/DVD copies... Hmmm?

I agree with this. I loved the whole "I want to save the world" motto that he supported the first volume. In my opinion, volume 2 was sort of his "this is awkward" phase where he was just getting accustomed to his powers. Now that he is possibly the strongest of them all, it'll be interesting to see where he takes this. The potential to help people is limitless and I can't wait to see how he uses his powers in volume 3 for good

I bought the Blu-Ray release for S2 and it's fantastic. It's a funny thing with shows nowadays... even if (at first) during the live airings you didn't prefer the season, when watching it all together, knowing everything that happened, you can actually sit back and enjoy with little/no criticism. And that's basically what I've been doing. And I have to say... it's unfortunate S2 got cut short for the strike, but it was quite impressive and a blast to re-watch.

Season 2 was starting to feel more like season 1 at the end of the season. If that makes sense? Which is what I loved about Heroes..which made me sad when Season 2 ended, it was just starting to get back.

I'm currently re-watching season 2..I'm only about 4 eps in though.

I dunno. Maya and her brother still piss me off. Her more than him right now, though

It does, actually. But, I didn't really have a problem with the beginning of S2, it was just different from what we were used to. I watched the SF about Kring saying S2 was about having powers but trying to live a normal life. The "nightmare" episode was probably the one I took most notice of... Greg Grunberg acted the hell out of that episode... and Adrian was hilarious as his sidekick.

"Four Months Ago..." was quite epic. And "Cautionary Tales" which I just finished was just so painful to watch because of the events that took place... intense!

In the minority... kinda liked the Maya/Alejandro storyline... and how Sylar tied into it.

I just think they could have made Maya/Alejandro (though, in particular, Maya) a little less annoying. I didnt mind it at first, thought it would be interesting, but I can only take Maya yelling "Alejandroooooooo" a couple of times

I think that was shoved in our faces too much..especially with Claire's storyline.

And Peter's "I dont know who I am" AKA "WTF is in that box" storyline was kinda stupid. They changed that character too much, I didnt like him very much

And thats another thing...I understand the show has to move forward and new characters have to emerge, but they introduced too many, too fast, I think. And other character suffered..like..did they really have to kill DL? In THAT way? I guess, Heroes being Heroes, they can go back in time and old characters, like DL can come back for an ep or two.. but, anyways,The only new character that was remotely interesting, for me, was Adam...because he intergrated into the main storyline very well...the rest, like Monica, Caitlin, West, Elle, ehh.....

I also think it took too long to tell us what happened 4 months ago..I mean, what episode was that? 8? Out of..11? Ofcourse, it wasnt planned to be like that, stupid writers strike, but thats how it ended up being.

So its not like the second season was a disaster. I'm not saying that...It just took a bit long to really get started, and as a result of the strike, when it started to get really good, it was cut short..and people were annoyed

Cat, I completely agree with you in so many ways

Around Episode 7, things started to get back on track, and I'm sure if we'd had a full Season 2, I would've been fine with the second half of it, especially now I've seen the direction they were going with the virus in the alternate ending to S2 and the few episodes they'd made up for afterwards. It seems like it would've still lead to something like 'Villains', but in a slightly different way.

One thing I really disliked about S2, more than the drawn-out storylines, OOC moments or pointless characters, was the lack of the main cast members being drawn together. In S1, we were introduced to a scheme that showed they were all connected, even if they didn't have many scenes with each other, (I'm thinking little connections like when Hiro is in Vegas in S1 and walks past Niki in the casino etc, just tiny things like that ). That was missing in S2, the characters were too far apart from each other, and that lovely chemistry and friendship you feel between the key players was mising.

That's why I really think it's going to be back on track for S3, as Kring has said himself (and promos have shown) the core cast are back together again. I wasn't completely disappointed with S2, I just know they can do better than this. So I'm eagerly anticipating next Monday; it'll be kickass

Yes, totally Like, I loved that they brought together some different characters like, Nathan and Parkman, for example, dont get me wrong.. But the little connections were missing, those you might miss if you blink , but really enhance and flesh out the episode..

And I still miss the old Peter That doesnt really have anything to do with what we were talking about, but still. Well, actually, it kinda does. He was a connector to several key characters in the first season, but then he was shipped off to Ireland and spent god knows how long wondering what was in a box.

Ooooh, that box It was hyped up so much and then it wasn't even anything interesting! And here were all the Paire fans speculating it was like, a letter from Claire (Which would've been much better than what was actually in there  )

But, thankfully, the first two eps are showing all the brilliant little character get-togethers that we all love (and some new ones I'm liking already). I think what Milo said in an interview is right; pretty soon we'll come to appreciate the part S2 played in setting everything up for S3, and it did have a point...albeit a very hard to find one at first
