Once I realize they weren't going to get to the hostage situation until next week I knew they weren't going to kill off HRG and Claire's mom wasn't in the first few minutes of the pilot episode. That left me with Simone, who, I must say, I'm not all that broken up about it. Then again, Kring did say things could be reversed.

Kring said in his TV Guide interview that it was supposed to be this love triangle between Isaac/Simone/Peter, right? Watch it turn into this "let's see who's got the bigger mickey" thing and Peter going postal over it all...until Hiro shows up to save the day. I'm not saying that wouldn't be cool, but it just doesn't sit well with me. I also don't like how they've made Isaac into this jealous, duplicitous ass. He's not a bad guy and I don't like what Kring has done to him. I was hoping to see Simone/Isaac work toward a reconciliation, as well as some acceptance of Peter. Screw that now. They'll really want to kill each other.

I agree that Isaac has turned into this jealous ass, but he is kind of in the right. I mean Simone did leave him for Peter, I can't remember if they had offically broken up or not before he painted Peter and Simone in the rain.

I disagree about Isaac setting Peter up because of Simone. I think he really thought that by allowing Peter to be captured/killed he was helping to save the world. I mean last he heard, Peter was going to blow up because he couldn't control his powers, then Peter goes MIA. I guess Isaac figures HRG would at least know how to control him. He had no way of knowing that Peter had found Claude.

Though I would love to see Peter go postal. I loved him at the end of this episode. I hope TPTB take pity on us Paire fans and if they make Peter go postal, that a certain blonde or at the very least her memory brings him back from the edge.

so Simone is dead... i honestly don't know what to say. i'm speechless! you think she might come back from the dead?

I'm still thinking there could be more to this Simone thing and that it is oging to play out more by the end of the season. I'm not sad she's gone, but I don't know for sure that it is going to be permanent. If we hadn't already been slapped in the face with the related thing, I might think this gives us hope. But, we have, and I think Peter/Isaac are going to duke it out.

Isaac is a little in the right, but he also did it to himself. I also agree that Isaac thought he was doing the good thing about Peter and the bomb. Still, he let his jealousy consume him in some ways and that was not a good thing at all. I'm not saying Isaac is all bad by any means, either. He does feel what he's doing is right, but I know his personal feelings are getting in the way, too.

He wouldn't know about Claude, unless HRG said something. I doubt that, but we'll have to see what happens.

Isaac just thought he was sending them to Peter. He had no idea about Claude and that was really what Peter was pissed about. Because of Isaac he's lost his mentor. Now he needs to worry about if he can keep control of these powers without Claude there to push him.

You're right about Isaac letting his jealously consume him. That's why he went after Peter with the gun.

They could totally bring her back somehow. I don't really know that I want her to come back, but I wouldn't rule it out, either.

I can totally see Claude showing up again in the future. I loved their moments tonight, but I think Peter has to be able to stand on his own two feet first.

I think Peter can stand on his own too. He did great with all the different powers tonight. But Claire's were still special because they were the first he was able to use.

And after his mini battle with Isaac tonight, I think he's pretty confident about being able to call on the different powers and stop them whenever he wants.
