Matt Parkman got nerfed?
season 1 episode 10. There's a scene where he is trying to read the farah's (invisible woman) mind, and takes a very long time getting to her. The old Matt would have easily bypass her simple mortal mindblock, whiff up illusions and such to distort her, but no?
