| The compass (No spoilers please)  What do you believe the compass is for? How does it work? Any suggestions / theories? Apparently the compass can only be used by people with abilities. (The compass didn't work with Noah.) So the compass seems to be a way to determine who has abilities and who hasn't. Or maybe only certain people with abilities will be able to use the compass. | True. Samuel can easily track them down. But maybe to use the compass you must have a certain ability? I doubt that the compass works with all heroes. So maybe his dead brother and Peter have a similar ability? There was this theory on another board that the compass would only work with empaths. We all know that Peter is an empath as stated by Edgar. Of course Peter, most likely, hasn't mastered his power fully & his power hasn't developed to it's full capacity either. (at the moment he only imitates what others do) Arthur was an empath and he actually gave his power to Sylar. (Remember the scene?) Therefore, Sylar acquiered empathic abilites.
