Rita, they keep making movies about the teenage Peter Parker, even though Peter in the comics hasn't been a teenager since the 1960s. All this does is limit what the filmmakers can do with the character, as the overwhelming majority of Spider-Man stories over the last 40 years have been with Peter as a 20-something adult. His storyline with the Daily Bugle, his relationships with Felicia Hardy and Silver Sable, his marriage to Mary Jane Watson, and the more adult oriented storylines involving the Sin-Eater, Kraven The Hunter, The Hobgoblin, Venom, The Sinister Syndicate, etc., all get swept by the wayside in favor of all these kiddie Spider-Man stories Hollywood tells. Again, the Peter Parker that the last two generations of comic book readers(along with young comic book readers today) have read about is the grown up Peter, and it would be nice to see that Peter Parker on screen for once, since the Peter we've seen in the movies since 2002 is not remotely similar to the character in the comics whatsoever.

I think the early 2000s Spiderman ...he worked for the Daily Bugel… so he must have been at least 18 or 19... Him and Eddie Brock had a feud in the third movie

You mean the movies? Yeah, he got that job in the movies when he was still a teen. I think in the comics he was already in college when he started working at the Bugle. I don't know what newspaper hires underage photographers.

what...? the Bugel hires high school teen agers... that does not sounds like J.J to me....

in one of the older cartoon series...he's an adult working for the Bugel [the one with Secret Wars ending to the whole series]

Yeah, I know. In the comics, Peter didn't get that job at the Daily Bugle until he was over 18 and in college. That's also the age Peter was when the original 1960s Spider-Man cartoon came out, as well as the 80s Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends cartoon. I've always grown up with the adult Peter Parker, and most of the time he's been portrayed as either in college or an adult. It's only been since the 2000s that Marvel Studios has been obsessed with the jailbait Peter, which is creepy.

I know, Dave. It's been keeping me busy as well.

It's no problem, Dave. You and Tia arrange great fantasy roster challenges.
