I'm really just gonna try to not freak about this just yet. Not until something's confirmed at least. Though admittedly if Hayden leaves I won't be happy. Still I know there's a huge backlash against Claire - and maybe that's another reason Hayden wants out. But either way I guess we'll just see what happens

Is there a huge backlash? I know people in the internet fandom express their dislike over her and other characters, but we're in the minority. I'm surprised if there is, and not 'cause she's one of my faves, but 'cause there's worse charries in it from a story point of view

I still don't fully believe Kristen, because at the moment all she's done is got her story confused every time she mentions it

Theres a backlash? Well I mean I know fans don't like her character right now, but they don't really like Hiros either and he's not leaving. But if that's the reason she's leaving I can understand a bit, not this lack of screen time. Ali on the other hand I get for she hasn't really been seen and her character hasn't really made sense either.

I read about the "huge backlash" thing in a spoiler site but I agree, Ellie. I've read comments and they aren't good for almost any character

I would rather wait till Ausiello says something about it

I think Ausiello has, but I think that came from what Kristen posted as well.

I can't imagine Hayden being unhappy with how much screen time she's getting, she was in every single episode bar about 1 in Vol 3

And that was one of the criteria Kristen listed as a reason the actor wanted to go, but like people have said before, she's left with a get out clause if no-one leaves at the end of the Season because she said "NBC doesn't want to let them go."

I think she's heard maybe of a potential character death at the end of Fugitives and has just stirred it a little to make the fans worried

Edit: I know people have said she's been 'whining' a lot this Season, but I don't agree with that anyway so I'm not sure

I don't really know. She's a fave of mine so I try not to pay attention. But lately it just seems that more people are against Claire than for her.

I can understand if it's Ali though, she really has been getting less time and her characters have really only gotten worse imo. I liked Tracy at first, but now - well, she deserved what she got from Hiro

Well there's backlash agianst Hiros character two right now. Both him and Claire seem to be the least liked at the moment. Now don't get angry at me for saying this, its just what I've read on other sites;

They dislike Claire becuase she's cries a lot and she hoges the screen. They dislike Hiro for the fact that he doesn't change, he always acts like a little kid dispite that horrible plot about him acting 10 years old. Thats just what I heard. But like I said before I can understand if she wants out for her character being backlashed, but lack of screen time? ROLF She has ooodles of itXD

I know Claire's character changed dramatically s2, but I think she matured a lot in Vol. 3, especially after "Our Father."

I loved Hiro's character season 1 because he was funny and adorable but yeah, now, hasn't developed that much.

Exactly. Sometimes it's hard to acknowledge that those who spend time online talking about a show are indeed a small, passionate minority. The truth is, most regular viewers probably don't hate characters the way an online fandom can and most don't love them the way an online fandom can. The truth is, the odds that one person leaving would drastically affect how many people watch a show are probably very slight when you're dealing with an ensemble.

Plus, boards can fall into a 'group think' mentality. One board might like certain characters while another board hates them. I've seen bad things said about Peter (he's so dumb and too much airtime) Sylar (he's a serial killer who has lived too long) Mohinder (boring) Tracy (pointless) Nathan (boring--yes, can you believe it?) Claire (whiney) and it goes on and on.

All of the characters could really use some Fuller help.

I don't know how much he's writing but he is consulting. I thought he was going to start earlier than that but I don't know. That only gives us a few episodes with him.

I saw the episode titles and they sound good but than agian I am one of the few who liked Volumes 2 and 3 LOL. I heard lots of people liked Peter at the end of the Volume, thank goodness. Now maybe they can change Claire and Hiros to be better characters for the fan base. But yah episode 21? Really? Thats far.
