Heroes Hangman
I play this a bit in other forums so I decided to bring it here, however in the other forums there aren’t really and rules as such so people just keep guessing letters till it is solved with no real incentive to put much effort into the guessing as in normal hangman where you would get about 10 guesses (depending how you play) until you failed. So I thought we could have a scoring system will a ladder to provide some incentive and competition which works in the following way.
As some of hangmen games will involve long quotes it wouldn’t be fair to just have 10 guess so instead as there is 26 letters in the alphabet the starting score is 26, each letter that is guessed takes 1 point off, If a letter has been guessed and not updated on the puzzle before it is guessed it doesn’t get taken off. Example: Heroes on NBC Letters Used: B.H,O (H--o-- o- -B-) would give the solver 23 points but if the B was used but not updated (H--o-- -- ---) they would get 24 points. |
