I thought Becky called Samuel 'uncle' because of the fact they're all one big Carnie 'family'. But if that's true then yeah it would make sense

^ You got it right, Ellie.

HOLY CRAP. This episode, like all of the others this season IMO, was amazing.

1. POOR CLAIRE. Oh my God, every potential friend she has... just... she can't have them. I feel so, so sorry for her. She tries so hard to remain normal, and she can't even have a regular friend. Ohhhh Claaaire. They need to bring Zach back. He was the most consistent friend she ever had, even if he was only in S1.

2. The Haitian! He has a name! Who knew? Rene. Somehow it suits him.

3. The mention of Claude totally made my night. Seriously.

4. Samuel? I love him. He is suuuuch a good villain without being a villain at the same time. You never know what's on his agenda. And Claire stalling him? She is definitely HRG's daughter. And learning that Danko killed Joseph... pieces are coming together.

5. The Matt/Sylar playing off each other... It was like they were going back and forth for control. Just wow. I was really sad when I thought Sylar was going to kill that lady, LOL. I was like, "NOO. She's too awesome of a minor character." And Matt giving his life to try and help others... just wow.

6. The Peter/Emma scenes were SO CUTE. Especially that last one. Oh my lordy. And Christopher, her nephew? Ohhh, it's so sad... I thought he was her son, but somehow him being her nephew is so much more heartbreaking. Babysitting... oh my lordy. No wonder she blames herself... she shouldn't, but I understand why she does.

7. And last but not least.... I think I fell in love with Peter all over again in this episode. Just... everything he did reminded me so much of his season one self; his selflessness, his want to help others in spite of what it does to him. It may not be the same as diving off a building to save the life of someone he doesn't even know all while thinking he's going to die, but it just... Peter! And in the end, when he was taking the pictures down. Somehow... that just seemed to be him saying, "I don't need this wall to know that I can do good." He's getting his life back, slowly but surely.

What an amazing episode. Seriously. I loved it.

OH YEAH! I can't believe I forgot. Nathaaan~! I wonder if he realizes... that he's not himself. By the end it seemed like he did, but I'm not sure. xD I guess we'll find out next episode!

ETA: -stares at length of post- o.O Whoa, self. You can sure ramble.

I'm not sure, Jay. She could come back. Right now she's scared, and I don't blame her for wanting to get away.

Just romantic travails. Claire must lose the person she has fallen in love with just as that realization has occurred. There was really no other possible way for the plot to head in this episode. I have said for awhile I cannot see the consumation of the romance happening too quick because they have hinted that that will be a crucial event for Claire. First she must feel loneliness and despair. This makes the sharing of first sexual intimacy that much more powerful.

Some sharp things that were done.

The Haitian is there in Gretchen and Claire's last scene in the episode. This is not done just because he is there to protect Claire or Gretchen. This disallows a full confession from Claire (she is being watched by someone else). Hence this allows the confession (which would otherwise make sense at this point) from happening without messing with reality of the moment.

Claire doesn't buy into the heteronormative white picket fence speech by her unaware Dad. She also doesn't let her Dad in the room at the end (a scene that parallels the hallway phone speech). However this time the sanctuary is empty because the person she desires is not there. I like they also come back to this again near the end with Claire in bed, rolling over to look at Gretchen's empty bed, and then looking upwards.

I loved the episode too FYI. My favorite parts had to be Peter/Emma scenes and the Mattler scenes. Claires plot was cool for once though. I really can't wait for next weeks episode *WE* The promo has me pumped.

edit;

Yah Peter was just awesome tonight, he's truley growing as a character. Course, what will happen when he finds out about Nylar/Mattler?

This was definitely a filler episode but still, it was pretty good. Not too much I can complain about.

What I liked
- Oh Samuel definitely has Claire hooked now. He knew just what to say. Plus, Noah/Claire FTW! Bennetts rock.
- Peter! I missed you! Nice to see him saving people with his new ability. I’m glad Nathan came and is distracting him because I don’t want him to go overboard. And how sweet was he to Emma? Gosh, he’s such a nice guy
- I like Becky. It might just be the Veronica Mars fan in me, but I think she’s cool.
- I LOVED Gretchen leaving, even though I’m sure she’ll be back. Honestly I would have been surprised/concerned if she actually felt safe in that room with Claire gone and an invisible girl on the loose.
- I also loved Claire referring to the Haitian by his real name. And him actually having lines! Score!

What I didn’t like
- Eh, wasn’t feeling the Mattler storyline. I’m getting a little tired of it. Zach and Greg are good, it’s just I’m over it. Let’s get everyone back in their bodies please. Kthanks.
- My only thing with Becky is that she’s acting on revenge for Noah. Haven’t we been here before with West? I understand what Noah used to do was bad, but I feel like she could have had another reason for being so vindictive.

Well, with West... he didn't lose anything. HRG killed Becky's father, and from her point of view -- and ours I suppose, since we don't know WHY he didn't just bag-and-tag -- he had no reason to. I think her vindictive nature towards him does have some pretty firm ground.

What I liked - Peter/Nathan hug at the end of the episode. I'm not sure about Gretchen leaving, but damn - so HOPE she is gone! However, that was the fastest watched episode ever! It took me only 10 min. Overall, as I expected - don't like it much. Only the last minute of it.

not my favourite episode of the Season so far.

I'm getting a little sick of Emma, they need to expand her powers the pretty coloured lights are getting on my nerve.

I loved Samuel especially the scene with Claire in her dorm and with 'Becky'.

I'm really looking forward to 'My Brother's Keeper'

Becky's father may have had an ability the Company thought was too powerful, like the girl--can't remember her name, at the moment--from season 2 who could mimic anything she saw. Mr. Bennett was still very much a company man back then and probably considered him too great of a threat and that the ends justify the means.

That was my line of thinking, too. But alas, to Becky... there is no ends to justify the means to her, because he was her father.

Okay, so this episode wasn't my favorite, but I thought it wa sstill pretty good

For starters. Claire finally had something important to do. HRG and Becky had some good scenes, and Samuel kicked ass as always. I liked his little talk with Claire, even though it turned out she was stalling Personally, I don't think I would miss Gretchen very much, and to me, leaving out of fear was a logical decision, but something tells me we haven't seen the last of her.

Matt and Syler were awesome. Matt trying to gain control, Sylar killing people and basically telling Matt it not's gonna happen.... I loved it. My favorite part I think was when Matt sacrificed himself to save his friends from Sylar. It was a very noble thing to do, and that scene just worked so, so well!

The Peter and Emma scenes were a little boring to me, unfortunately. However, I'm glad Peter is still trying to save lives... it reminds me of his season 1 self

Nathan is back! The hug at the end was

And then I saw the promo for next week. I was getting excited until like the last few seconds of it. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous now about the ep's direction

I liked the Mattler scenes too. I loved how Matt was all getting the upper hand on Sylar in the begining and was all laughing at him a few times LOL. I really liked how Sylar was trying to visit Peter in New York LOL.

He did, didn't he? I thought I saw him whooshing around really quickly before Noah shot him. I know she has a good reason to hate him, I just feel like we've been there before
