I believe he was handpicked by Leonard Nimoy himself. So I don't blame him for choosing Spock over Sylar.

I am sad he is not coming back as Sylar oh well. I loved Sylar and Claire, they were so balanced and right for each other. He was the only one proud of her after she jumped off the Faris wheel.

Yeah she later on regretted that decision. And it ending up causing a Civil War.

Yeah, sadly I got the impression that Zachary really didn't want to do Sylar anymore in his interviews near the last season of Heroes.

Can you blame him though? Kring really did messed up all the characters. As for Reborn while it did kinda failed. One of the positives was Tommy/Nathan.
