Does Sylar have the Virus?
What about this question. Why could'nt Sylar have the virus and that it is HE and not Nikki/Jessica who could destroy the world? Everyone is watching Nikki/Jessica and the plot that it is her situation seems too simple, easy and upfront. A sneak surprise would be more fun. But consider this: Sylar was locked on an isolated area with a Company person (Candace). That Candace was talking to someone on a telephone just prior to Sylar waking up. And that Candace was discussing Sylar. Sylar discovers his inability to use his powers. Could this be due to him being vaccinated with the virus? And that when Sylar doubled over from the pain after trying to absorb the powers from Candace, it was not so much a reaction from his injuries but a body reaction to a change or mutation of the virus in his body. Perhaps, that when absorbing the powers from Candace, the virus being designed to stop an already existing power, could not withstand and was damaged. This would be a far more interesting cliffhanger for the season and satisfy a conclusion to the Sylar story. Especially if the writers deem it necessary to bring all the characters together to have a final battle with Sylar to stop the infection.
