I hope you had a great Halloween, dragonfire! I was watching AHS: 1984 and football, and also Halloween on AMC, so I promise I'll get caught up on Riverdale today.

I watched it, dragonfire! Nice episode! I noticed each of the characters got their own little short story.

1. Arche and his friend got the superhero storyline. Nice outfits for Pureheart The Powerful and The Shield. But it was the standard gang threat storyline.

2. Cheryl and Toni looked nice as Ivy and Harley, but that séance was creepy. And OMG, Cheryl is gonna catch something if she keeps hanging around Jason's dead body. When is Toni gonna get out of that nuthouse? Nana alone is creepy as hell, and Cheryl is nuts. And that doll.

3. Nice Edgar Allen Poe storyline for Jughead, being trapped in that casket like Cask of Amontillado and Premature Burial. It was cool that it turned out to be just a prank and that he's official part of their group now, but man, he was stupid for drinking that stuff.

3. Another nice little urban legend storyline for Veronica, with the typical escaped serial killer storyline. That's from 'The Hook.' Bill Murray tells this story to a bunch of camp counselors around a late night campfire in the move, Meatballs. You can check out that scene on YouTube. Although the whole "family thing" seemed a bit much for me. At first I thought this guy was gonna turn out to be a ghost, like the haunted hitchhiker legend. But how did Veronica know he'd have his lighter on so that she could douse him with alcohol and burn him to death? And now her club is gonna stink.

4. Okay, the plotline with Reggie and Kevin was my least favorite, but I did like how Reggie's car got trashed at the end. I don't know if this new principal is gonna help Reggie out with his dad's abuse or what, but Cheryl needs to watch out for this guy.

5. Oh, I loved Betty's Laurie Strode outfit! Clever Halloween costume. Blue shirt and blue jeans, and even the hair was right. How could Jellybean not know who Laurie Strode is?

Another nice little urban legend reference to 'The Babysitter And The Man Upstairs,' which influenced Halloween and When A Stranger Calls. They even used the part where he says, "Have you checked the children?" There were a bit too many obvious references there, though, like saying the call was from inside the house. Oh, and I also liked the font the show used for "The Day Before Halloween" and "The Day After Halloween." Did you notice they used the exact same font that John Carpenter used in the movie, Halloween?

I also liked Betty and Charles doing some bonding over pizza, and Charles tracing the call to find out that it was Polly all along. But are we sure it was Polly, or someone else at the place she's staying? What's the name of that place again?

And did you notice any... odd chemistry and tension between Charles and Betty when they were on the sofa? I mean, this is the same actor who played Chris Dollenganger in the Flowers In The Attic movies, and Betty looked a hell of a lot like Cathy Dollenganger in that outfit, so can we really trust Charles with his own sister on this show?

The twist at the end was cool, when it turned out that Charles has wire tapped the Cooper home and is listening in on Betty and Jughead's conversation. Do you think he tapped it in case whomever is calling Betty's home might be the same person who is spreading the mysterious videotapes of everyone's homes? And VHS tape in 2019? Really? How very quaint. I'm actually starting to miss videotape now.

Good. I think it's called Shady Grove. Nope, I just noticed Falice's Son bonding with his Sister. Maybe or maybe he tapped it cause he's secretly investigating the prep school/Mr. Chipping/missing students. I do wonder if maybe Grandpa Jones is the one behind the tapes or Mr. Chipping? Speaking of GPJ. I think one of the Stonewall four students was GPJ. Oh, now I can post these from the Halloween episode.

Ah, Shady Grove. Thanks for reminding me. Oh, and that's a good theory. It might also be because of the prep school disappearances. I guess the writers have to find some reason to keep Charles in Riverdale, given that he's an FBI agent. Oh, and you know what other show had an FBI agent? Twin Peaks. Yep, once again, Riverdale is borrowing from Twin Peaks, and it was pretty difficult to figure out how to keep Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks after the murder of Laura Palmer was solved, so I guess they're gonna have to be creative with Charles Cooper. But I still think the chemistry between him and Betty was a bit Chris/Cathy.

No problem. Thanks, and I think he could be looking for Grandpa Jones. You mean they're gonna have to be creative with Charles Smith/Jones. And I still think Falice's Son was just bonding with his Sister, and speaking of bonding. I do love that Charles is helping FP with the tapes, and some other cases. No problem. Yes, and I'm just glad, and thankful, that we are getting Falice as a happy domestic couple. Also that Falice scene and the Joneses/Smith/Cooper family scene with the tapes are my 2 favorite parts/scenes from the Halloween episode.

Hi, dragonfire! Oh, so you think Charles is looking for Grandpa Jones and his shotgun? Oh yeah, Charles Smith/Jones. It's still hard to believe he's FP's son. They look nothing alike. Good theory about Charles helping out FP with the videotapes. I'm pretty sure he's investigating that as well, although I'm also sure he wants to get to know his family. Well, are we sure that anyone is gonna end up a happy couple on this show, even Falice?

Those are your favorite scenes from the Halloween episode? Mine are the Betty/Charles scenes.

I think for now it's possible. Yes, Charles Smith/Jones. They actually do look a lot alike. He has the perfect mix of Falice&Bughead. He's already helping FP cause after Betty asked why Charles still in RD, FP told her Charles helping him with the tapes, and some other cases. I believe Falice&Bughead will. Yes, you know we have been waiting for Falice as a happy domestic couple, also for Falice to be reunited with their son, and for the Joneses/Smith/Cooper as one big happy family.

I really think that the writers just don't care about Archie and Veronica anymore at this point.

Well, in a video recap/review of 3x22 the host said, and I quote. They have no idea how he's actually alive but he (Charles/Wyatt) looks so much like a combo between Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse that at this point they're too mesmerized to really question it. I believe the Joneses/Smith/Cooper family will get a happy ending. He could've just tapped Betty's cell phone. I'm sorry you think that.

Yeah, that part I do agree with, dragonfire. I do think that Charles more closely resembles Jug and Betty than he does FP or Alice. Oh, and can you tap a cellphone? Are they allowed to do that?

Well, I'm just going by my previous disappointment with CW shows, dragonfire. And come ton think of it, I think the actor playing Charles probably would've made a better Archie than KJ Apa.

Well, I'm glad that we agree on that. Well I think Betty was on her cellphone when Charles was listening in on her and Jughead's conversion. Wyatt is too old to play Archie. Speaking of Archie. Did you know they replaced the pictures of Archie and a picture of Hal with pictures of Jughead and even a picture of Betty's cat in Betty's room? Oh, I enjoyed the episode. Especially Jughead's plot. His storyline just keeps getting better and better.
