She does. You know I think I'm enjoying Jughead's storyline more than Betty's. Actually, if you compare all of The Core Four S3 storylines Jughead has gotten the best juicy ones. The dead body? Remember the guy name Baby Teeth who was with MadDog, and while the others fought the Gargoyles Baby Teeth stayed outside to keep watch for more Gargoyles, and later it revealed he didn't come back with them? Well, the dead body that FP found was Baby Teeth's. I'm sure you'll get more Varchie.

OMG, I'm so sad today! Someone is stepping down as moderator of the Heroes board. I don't know if it's Sam or Lauren, but I don't want either of them to go!

I agree with you there, dragonfire. I think Jughead is definitely getting a better storyline this season. Betty's starting to look like she's back in Black Hood territory. Oh, that guy who was with Mad Dog, the one from juvenile detention? Yeah, I figured he was being introduced just to get killed. I do hope we get more Varchie.

That's good, Sarah. And my Phillies beat the Twins today and the Mets also lost, so we're back in first place in the NL East!

Yeah, WWI was when all kinds of gas was being developed, like mustard gas and chlorine gas, but it still wasn't as effective as people make it out to be. WWII is when Hitler developed much more devastating weapons, like the V1 and V2 rockets created by Wernher von Braun, the same guy who worked with NASA on the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space programs. Hitler used the V2s on Great Britain, and his goal was to one day reach New York City or Washington DC. Hitler was also in a race with the USA to develop the atomic bomb, so again, WWII was a far more important war for Wonder Woman to be involved in.

have any DC characters fought Hitler...? I know Wonder Woman was alive and in the USA during that time .
I'll try, Dave. I can get it when it comes out on Xfinity on demand. And yes, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and pretty much all the Golden Age DC superheroes fought Hitler. And I remember Indiana Jones meeting Hitler in The Last Crusade. That was a bit of a "jump the shark" moment for me, but it was funny.

Hi, Lauren! OMG, who is stepping down as moderator of the Heroes board, you or Sam? I don't want either of you to go!

Hitler got brought up discussing Wonder Woman, Lauren. In the comics she fought in World War II, not World War I.

I'll repost it for you, Lauren.

Quote:
Carol Danvers is a fighter pilot and a Captain in the US Air Force. Her boyfriend is USAF pilot Walter Lawson(who also gave her a ginger cat as a birthday present). But he's been keeping a secret from Carol throughout their relationship. She's always noticed that he's never without these expensive looking gold bracelets that he always wears, and he told her that they were just something he picked up during his travels and he always wears them for good luck. Carol and her wingman, Monica Rambeau, are doing a routine training mission when NORAD suddenly picks up two UFOs entering US air space, and Carol and Monica are rerouted to intercept. It turns out that the UFOs are Kree and Skrull scout ships engaged in combat with each other, and as soon as Carol and Monica engage, they end up being fired upon by the alien vessels.

Walter is observing this from the base when he suddenly leaves the control room and goes outside, rolls up his sleeves and reveals the gold bracelets he wears, and looks up to the sky as he clangs the bracelets together over his head. In a flash of light, Walter transforms into Captain Marvel, his body aglow with photonic energy, and flies off into the night sky to help Carol.

Monica is hit by a Skrull weapon and ejects from her cockpit, her parachute slowly carrying her safely to the ground. Carol continues to engage, but when her ship is hit by a Skrull weapon, her fighter malfunctions and begins to spiral out of control. Her ejector seat malfunctions and she issues a mayday to her base. Captain Marvel suddenly appears and rescues Carol's plane, assisting her in ejecting from the cockpit. Once she ejects, he then turns his attention to the Skrull warship and blasts it with photonic energy. Carol's parachute fails to open, however, and Captain Marvel flies to her and catches her in mid air. Just then, a Kree weapon called the psyche-magnitron hits them and Captain Marvel uses his body to protect Carol.

They both land on the ground, and Captain Marvel checks to see if Carol is okay before flying off to battle the remaining Kree spacecraft. Some time afterwards, Carol confronts Walter, asking him about the gold bracelets he always wears, noticing that the man who saved her wore the same bracelets, and she could recognize his eyes behind the mask he wore. Walter confesses to Carol that he is actually Mar-Vell, a former captain of the Kree Empire who turned against the Supreme Intelligence and his Kree masters to defend Earth from invasion. Because Mar-Vell is a light-skinned Kree who appears similar to humans(the majority of Kree are blue skinned) he was originally sent to Earth as a spy, but then became attached and sympathetic to humans and decided to not allow the Kree to invade and conquer the Earth. Mar-Vell had been approached by the cosmic entity called 'Eon,' who gave Mar-Vell the nega-bands, along with "cosmic awareness," and appointed Mar-Vell "protector of the universe," a title normally given only to the most worthy of beings. Mar-Vell repelled the Kree invasion, and his Kree superiors and the Supreme Intelligence banished Mar-Vell from his homeworld forever. Mar-Vell became known on Earth as Captain Marvel, and became Earth's cosmic protector, defending Earth mostly from alien villains and extraterrestrial threats. He took on the identity of a deceased pilot, Walter Lawson, and spent years keeping the decades-long Kree-Skrull war from encroaching on Earth, but now it seems like it is finally invading Earth's solar system.

But something went wrong when Mar-Vell saved Carol. The psyche-magnitron transferred some of Mar-Vell's DNA into her, along with some of the photonic energy from his nega bands, which gave Carol powers similar to Mar-Vell. Mar-Vell decides to mentor Carol and train her to use her newfound powers, to which Carol quips, "who am I supposed to be, Ms. Marvel?" The rest of the story pretty much goes along as the film does, with Mar-Vell training Carol instead of Yon-Rogg, who is Mar-Vell's old enemy. But Mar-Vell starts getting progressively weaker as the story goes along, and whenever Carol asks him what's wrong, he tells her it's nothing, and that it's probably the effects of having his DNA transferred to her. But what he isn't telling her is that he's dying. He had learned months earlier that he had been diagnosed with cancer, and that he probably contracted it during a battle with a supervillain where he had received a blast of radiation. His photonic energy is the only thing that kept his cancer in remission, but now it has spread and he knows he hasn't much time left. When Carol learns of this she is angered that he didn't tell her sooner, but Mar-Vell knew if he told her about his condition, he'd have to tell her the truth about everything, and it was safer if she didn't know.

Mar-Vell becomes so weak that he can no longer be Captain Marvel, and Carol must take the nega bands and fight back against the invading Kree and the Skrulls, who both intend to make the Earth their battleground. No, the Skrulls are not refugees, and that's some lame plot change that the filmmakers came up with for their usual stupid Hollywood reasons.

Anyway, Carol ends up saving the day, and establishes herself as the new Captain Marvel in the media. She then returns to Mar-Vell, who is taken to a special SHEILD facility, where several doctors try to treat him, but to no avail. Mar-Vell tells Carol that she needs to take over for him as she stands by his bedside. At that moment, a group of doctors enters the room, and they suddenly transform into Skrulls(who are shape-shifters). Carol's nega bands begin to glow, but the Skrull commander tells Carol that they have come in peace, and intend no harm. Mar-Vell tells Carol to stand down and let the Skrull commander speak:

Skrull commander: "Captain Marvel, I greet you in the name of the Imperial Skrull Empire. I am here not because you are our enemy, but because you have always been our greatest enemy. No being in the entire galaxy has ever faced our armed might so bravely or thwarted our plans as many times as you have. You are quite possibly the greatest warrior who ever walked the stars. We Skrulls are a martial race and have long respected your skills, deeds, and courage, even though you are our foe. That is why I have come by order of the Imperial Council to present you with this. (he hands Mar-Vell the Skrull medal of valor) I salute you, Captain Marvel! May your passing be swift, and your afterlife reward great!"

Carol can't believe that the Skrulls gave Mar-Vell a medal while his own people. the Kree, condemned him. Mar-Vell tells her that he doesn't care about the Kree anymore, the only thing that has ever matted to him on his adopted home was her. Carol holds Mar-Vell's hand and kneels at his side as the Avengers suddenly enter the room to pay tribute and respect to Captain Marvel, and to thank Carol for her actions in saving the Earth from the Kree and the Skrulls, and to offer her a membership in the Avengers if she so chooses.

The Avengers leave Carol and Mar-Vell alone in the room, and Carol and Mar-Vell share their final words to each other. Then, the cosmic entity Eon appears in the hospital room, to both comfort Mar-Vell in his final moments and to tell him that death is never the end, it is merely the beginning. As Mar-Vell dies, his hand slowly falls from Carol's, and Carol asks Eon why he let Mar-Vell die, why he couldn't save him. Eon tells her that, "this is the way of the universe. One star fades, and a new star is born." He then appoints Carol as Mar-Vell's replacement, naming her the new "protector of the universe." Mar-Vell is buried and Carol and all of the Avengers gather for his funeral. She then takes over as the new Captain Marvel, flying off into the stars to take her place as Earth's cosmic defender and protector of the Universe.

I think he also got the best juicy ones last season as well. I sometimes wonder if the WB/CW favors Jughead over the other main characters? Especially Archie. Yeah, the farm storyline reminds me of the Black Hood storyline. Yeah him. I think we will. Oh, I forgot to post this earlier. Skeet is done filming S3. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv6iLsclM68/

I know, Sarah. Lauren is stepping down. She says she'll still post here, but I can't believe she's not gonna be a moderator anymore.

Maybe it's Cole Sprouse more than Jughead, dragonfire?

And thanks for that link! Can you believe that his fans still want Jericho to come back?

It's gotta be tough finishing season 3 without Luke.
