You know if it turns out Chic Jones looks like FP, but has Alice's green eyes. Then I wonder if he'll wear glasses as well. And I could see Chic Jones going uncover as the new auto shop teacher at RHS. I mean with him being Falice's Son, and Bughead's Big Bro it would make sense. Oh these trades never learn. ‘Riverdale’: Betty’s Long-Lost Brother Chic to Debut in Season 2 | TVLine

Thanks for the link, dragonfire! I can't wait for Chic Jones to meet Cheryl Blossom!
And I think Sam thinks we're putting up too many spoilers. Happy 15 years, Sarah! Man, do you realize that in two years in 2019 I'll have been on FF for ten years? IT chapter two will come out in 2019. IT was scary, Lauren. But it's not just the scare, it's the story, Lauren. IT has always been like Stand By Me with a scary killer clown monster. There's a lot I wanna say about the movie, but I don't have time right now, so I'll do it later, Lauren. But did you notice the differences between the movie, the book, and the 1990 TV miniseries? __________________

sammy hates spoilers i accidently do it then she never talks to me again for a while well yeah i didnt find it movie scary i mean i did scream once and jumped a couple times espcially when the clown runs on screen so freaky but it was more about the friendships and the kids and i thought we got so much of it compared to tv mini series thats why i love the it movie so so much dragonfire is a riverdale spoiler queen __________________

Hi, Sarah! I had to do laundry too. I'm glad you're getting some sleep.
I'm glad you and I are both shipping Chic/Cheryl, dragonfire. But I think the closer we get to the season premiere the fewer spoilers I'll need because I still wanna be surprised. How long now until Riverdale comes back? Quote:
Well, I liked all the jump scares, Lauren. I think they were effective. Yeah, Pennywise doing that weird charge where he shook his head like he was having a seizure was pretty creepy. I do think it's stuff we've seen a lot lately since The Ring came out, but it was still good. The scariest parts for me were when Pennywise came after Billy in his basement, using Georgie's image to taunt him, Ben seeing the headless kid in the library basement(and did you see that creepy old lady staring at him?), Stanley and that creepy woman in the painting, Eddie and that diseased leper that looked like a zombie, and Ritchie trapped in that room full of clowns. I'll be you loved that scene, Lauren. I really liked Bev in this movie, but I didn't like that her role got changed. She's supposed to be the one that shoots Pennywise in the head with those silver pieces using a slingshot, but she never got to do that. Ritchie mentions her good throwing arm and her aim, but they don't go anywhere with that. And instead of going into the sewers with the others, she's kidnapped by Pennywise and used as bait, which also didn't happen in the book or in the 1990 TV version. And they took away Mike's entire storyline as the lighthouse keeper. He's the one who's supposed to know all about the history of Derry and the bad things that happened there over the years, and he's the one who puts it all together. But they gave that to Ben instead, which I didn't get. He's already got the storyline with Bev, so he didn't need that. But I think they did the best job with Bev, Billy, and Ritchie. I loved Ritchie getting angry at Billy at the end, telling him that it's all his fault and making it seem like he's gonna just let Pennywise take him, and then picking up the baseball bat and saying that now he's gotta "kill this fing clown." Awesome. And they might've made Bev just a little too pretty in the movie. She looked more normal in the TV version. But they cut out the part where Henry Bowers and his buddies follow the losers into the sewers and Belch and the other dude get killed by Pennywise while Henry escapes. But Henry does get brainwashed by Pennywise and told to kill the Losers, so they got that right. There were some things they changed that I wish they hadn't because I didn't think it was necessary. But the stuff they did right they did very right. And Georgie's murder at the beginning was really heartbreaking. It's always difficult for me to watch Georgie dying. A lot of the movie made me kind of nostalgic because it was set in the 80's, which is another change since the book an the TV version are both set in the 1950's, and the kids are grown-ups in the 1980's. It also made me sad because so much of that movie is my childhood. I grew up in the 80's and I grew up on Stephen King books and movies, and it's weird because when I saw the 1990 TV version I saw it from the point of view of the age I was when it came out, but now I'm older and I'm seeing the new movie totally differently. I feel a little like the characters in the story. A lot stuff in IT is similar to the stuff I liked about Stand By Me, which is based on another Stephen King book. You did know that, right? IT isn't just a scary story, it's a story about going from childhood, to adolescence, to adulthood, and the growing pains we go through along the way. Themes of loneliness, alienation, friendship, loss of innocence, and how we tend to lose track of the friends we had as kids as we grow into adults and go our separate ways. And did you see what they did at the end of IT after the Losers make their vow to return if Pennywise ever comes back? They all stand in a circle and hug, and then one by one each kid leaves the group... and fades away and disappears, just like River Phoenix's character Chris Chambers at the end of Stand By Me. And the whole Bill/Bev/Ben thing was really heartbreaking as well. I felt so bad for Ben at the end, but you know that Bev now knows that he was the one who wrote her that poem. And Ben awoke Bev from the deadlights with true love's kiss? Did he pull a Once Upon A Time on us? That works even in a Stephen King story? But they still gave Bill and Bev the final scene, which I'm guessing is gonna lead into the next movie in 2019. __________________
