Sorry that you missed out on the 80's, dragonfire. But I do think that Fox has done a much better job lately with Days of Future Past, Logan, and Deadpool. I agree that Apocalypse could've been better, but I think Fox rushed that movie into production to try and compete with the MCU. I'm gonna wait until Dark Phoenix comes out to pass judgement, but I actually like what Fox is doing so far, which is ironic because you know that I've criticized them a lot in the past for how badly they treated Cyclops and Jean Grey. But if I were Marvel I would've been a lot more ruthless with Sony and Fox. I would've backed them into a corner until they had no choice but to give back Spider-Man and Fantastic Four. I'd even use the original Jim Hammond Human Torch and Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman in the MCU just to piss them off. Let Fox keep X-Men for now. But get everything else back under the Marvel banner.

I think $1.00 US is 1.32 AUS dollars. That means 1 AUS dollar is 76¢ USA. So things are cheaper here in the USA.

The only reason people ever drove on the left is because in ancient times they rode on horseback and most people are right handed, Lauren. If you had to pass someone approaching you on a horse you passed them on the left because you'd have your right hand free to wave to them in greeting, or hand them a message, or draw a sword if you're fighting. Once people started riding in big, wide wagons and coaches using two or more horses they started driving on the right side of the road because it was easier for right handed people to drive and steer a horse-drawn wagon while sitting on the left side of the wagon and holding the whip with the right hand. And you could see an oncoming wagon better if you passed them on the right so your wheels didn't smash into each other. The only reason England still drives on the left is because their cities and roads are so old it would be way too expensive and complicated to change things, but the rest of Europe, China, and America all drive on the right. Come to think of it, I have no idea why Australia drives on the left because you're nowhere near as old as the UK and you could've switched to the right like everyone else.

Well since you asked I live in SC. I agree about DOFP/DP/Logan. I think they can't because Sony/FOX could sue them, and it seems back in 2000? FOX sued Marvel because Marvel had a show out called Mutant X so FOX sued them. And I think they took it to court so maybe that's what started the feud between them. And the blonde girl who I think is Liz Allan friend, even though she looks like Gwen Stacy, it seems she may actually be Betty Brant. Plus if this rumor about Zendaya's character is true, it's funny because I think Michelle kinda acts like a female version of Jughead, and Peter kinda acts like a male version of Betty. The rumor is her name may be

I don't care if her name is Michelle Jones, just as long as it isn't Mary Jane Watson. Besides, Jones is a surname, and MJ's initials are her first and middle names.

Well the way I see it, if Marvel can use Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as long as they don't call them mutants(and after retconning their origin in the comics making them the High Evolutionary's experiments, they don't have to), and both Fox and Marvel can share Quicksilver's name, then there's nothing wrong with Marvel using Jim Hammond as long as no reference is made to Fantastic Four, and since he predates the FF they don't have to anyway. Same thing with Spider-Woman. They don't even have to have Jessica Drew in a separate movie, they could use her in The Avengers, or even a Defenders or SHIELD movie, or have her guest star in another hero's movie like they do with The Hulk.

Ah, okay. I remember Charleston, SC getting hit by hurricanes a while back, but I'm glad you live in a safer area.

Again, dragonfire, TDKR was not connected to the larger DC universe and Nolan was pretty much operating by his own playbook back then. And you know perfectly well that Sony isn't gonna make any movie with the title Spider-Woman, just like Universal isn't gonna do anything with The Hulk. So as far as I'm concerned, if Marvel and Fox can share Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch(although I don't think Fox is gonna use Wanda) then there's no reason why Marvel can't use Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman in a movie since they own Jessica. You can't copyright the word "spider," otherwise Sony would also own the rights to the movie, Kiss of the Spider-Woman. And it doesn't matter what role Zendaya's character plays, if she isn't Mary Jane, she doesn't matter. Anyway, this could possibly clear the way for a Peter/Felicia romance later on. No fan is gonna care about Zendaya's character anyway. She'll be like Rachel Dawes in TDK films.

I mean she did a chemistry test with Holland, also besides Holland/Tomei she was casted before the others, and I think they said her role could become a larger role in sequels or something like that. Plus while I think Liz&Ned isn't in the poster/name billed Michelle/Zendaya is. And I think in the poster besides Holland/Keaton/Favreau she's billed before the others. Really I think the possible MJ clues has been staring right in our faces.

And again, no one's gonna care about any of that stuff, dragonfire. No one cared about Fox's FF remake, no one cared about The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and neither fans of the comics or fans of the original Spider-Man movies are gonna care about any of this stuff that Homecoming is doing. Eventually all these teen characters they're making for this movie are gonna get phased out so they can focus on the more Spider-Man-centric stuff. Like I said, the best stuff is after Peter graduates college and becomes an adult, all this other stuff is gonna end up irrelevant.

You know how long it could be before we get adult Peter Parker? And Ned&Michelle could go to College with Peter and graduate with him. And I believe it is relevant because if they do a trilogy people will most likely get attached to Ned&Michelle and their relationship with Peter. And that's not even including the possible backlash Marvel/Sony could get if they dropped Michelle for a plain white/red head MJ and Ned for a plain white/red head Harry Osborn.

Good news for Sony, it sounds like they’ve got a bonafide hit on their hands, and for Marvel as well, who can’t seem to stop making them. The first social media reactions from critics are praising the John Watts-directed film as a hilarious and fun-filled teen movie slant on the superhero genre. Indeed, “fun” seems to be the buzzword, which isn’t too much of a surprise based on the trailers. There’s also plenty of praise for the cast, especially Holland’s Peter Parker and, despite Marvel’s reputation for weak villains, Michael Keaton‘s Vulture is also getting some love.

Right now, Spidey is in the MCU and it's just Spidey. Civil War, Homecoming, we've already shot a lot of Tom Holland's scenes in the upcoming Avengers films, and we're just starting to solidify our plans for Homecoming 2 - we won't call it that, whatever it is - which is exciting because it'll be the first MCU movie after untitled Avengers in 2019. It'll be the way Civil War informed everything in Homecoming, those movies will launch him off into a very new cinematic universe at that point. Those five movies are we're focusing on.
