There was a scene at the beginning of 112 (which is right after Jason and Lyla got back together and the one where Tim tries to get back with Tyra) where the cheerleaders were practicing and Tim was watching Lyla. But I don't remember anything after that except powderpuff, certainly not a separate scene of Tim watching Lyla. Unless I missed something in the many times I watched S1, tho it has been awhile.

You know what I wish? I wish we'd had a scene, or a flashback, in season 3, showing us just how Tim and Lyla got back together. Can you imagine the moment where she let her defenses down and finally let Tim in and love her? I would have loved to see that and the expression on Tim's face and their 'first' kiss (of the new relationship,) etc... I hate that, because of the writers strike, we missed so many good scenes, this one foremost. I hated seeing season 3 and Tyla already being established...I wanted to watch it happen! That being said, I'm glad they did that for season 3, putting Lyla and Tim together for real finally.

Now I just hope they do their past relationship justice over these next 2 (or more) seasons.

I did kinda love that S3 started with Tim/Lyla as a happy couple but we did miss out on everything in between. I think it would have helped if just included flashbacks to what everyone did in the missing months at the beginning of each new season instead of jumping right in.

I don't blame the writer's strike completely. It sucked that we got cut off but the pacing in S2 was already pretty bad.

Yeah, season 2 was a bit iffy, compared with seasons 1 and 3, but as you said, as flashback or two would have been great!

At least we still had their buildup from S1 and 2. It's not like they came out of nowhere and we just had to believe what we were seeing. They already had a base.

But yea, it would have been nice to see how they got into the routine of sneaking around.

I loved seeing Tim/Lyla together in S3 but I was a little confused. So then I kept thinking (throughout the whole episode) ok well they will show a flashback but they never did. So then I was like well I guess what he did at the end of S2 made her choose the one she really wanted and they got together.
