Not to be all, "HEY LOOK ME THE SNOBBY KNOW IT ALL!!!!!," but this was coming on for quite a while. FNL has been slipping out of the public's eye even while some of the actors from the show have moved higher up the grade scale of celebrity but I guess there are fan sites for them and that's what people search for. Also Tumblr has probably cut some of the traffic away from the forum.
More importantly, and ythis isn't meant as a dig against any of the posters here, there really weren't more than a handful of even regular posters, not much more than 10 if that, and most of them were moderators. Also it seems like a LOT of posts weren't made to actually add anything but becuase a mod looked at the post count numbers and said "ZOMG!!!! WE HAVE TO GET MORE POSTS!!!!!" and then they'd go and post a meaningless sentence to all the threads on the first page. And then one of the other mods would come along and add another meaningless sentence. Again, I see that side of things but better to not drag things out.
I understand why that would be done and that the mods all have stuff to do outside of the message board, but there really at least to my eye has been very little if any need for modding the FNL board with the exception of moving a couple of posts.
Jerry mentioned that an FNL thread can be started in the Television forum. I'd be happy to have that but I'd like some input from the mods as to whether it would really be worth it, because to my mind, combing the net via Twitter/Tumblr/Instagram/(insert photo site here) for pics of Kyle/Connie/Aimee while it isn't backbreaking does take time and to have a zillion tabs open and spend ten or so minutes making a post then have it answered with one sentence that is the equivalent of meaningless smalltalk is NOT an incentive. I'm not saying that you need to go on and on and on and on like I'm doing now, but at least make the effort to pretend to care and pretend to put the effort into putting the effort in.
