He was practically there for all MJ's journey so his speech at the wedding would have been a good one.

AMEN! I can't even put into words how refreshing and AMAZING it was to watch a show where a person's best friend didn't hook up with their best friend's significant other. So much respect and kudos to the writers, seriously!

^Yes, or even just being interested in Julie. Landry/Jules became friends and all 3 were just cool with each other.

It was so great. Instead Landry was encouring Matt about her (and giving him some awful dating advice at times )
