But at least a couple of the five hum-along numbers by the Oscar-winning team of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz stop the show and incite enthusiastic applause.

"The movie plays on so many levels," says director Kevin Lima, who has his feet in both the worlds of animation (Tarzan) and live action (102 Dalmatians) — just like his heroine Giselle. "No matter what you come to it with, it embraces your point of view." There is song, dance, slapstick, cynicism, fairy-tale in-jokes, princess pointers for girls, dragon slaying for boys and a highly appealing cast.

Fans of Grey's Anatomy might especially appreciate seeing Dr. McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, out of his hospital garb and in a fetching bathrobe as he and Adams realize they share a love connection.

The PG-rated confection finds room for a rare clever poop joke with a scene-stealing chipmunk as well as a few knowing winks at gay humor. But the secret weapon has to be Adams. "She walked into the audition fully formed," Lima says. "She lived and breathed Giselle."

No problem!! I'm sooo excited to see this!

Susan Sarandon makes the perfect villain... I love her dressed up in the role and even the animated version looks awesome!! From what I have seen she really seems to take to the role and totally be loving it!
