Exactly! So that's why Derek complete absence didnt feel right...at least they should mention more of him, how he skypes with the kids or something connecting him with the family somehow...

Yeah...looked like they talk every night but then Mer told Amelia that she didnt knew if she would....so it wasnt clear if she was referring to talking to Derek or telling him about Amelia's question....
