The chemistry between Meredith and Derek is very realistic...
Patrick: "Ellen (Pompeo) has a depth behind her eyes that's just incredible. She says one thing, but she's thinking something else, which is intriguing. She's really beautiful and has a great laugh that's infectious, and all those things came together and made me feel really relaxed. I think that's why we have the chemistry."
