I am glad Derek is back and he's back the way he used to be....optimistic, eager for the live saving part...As he said: when does that stopped being enough? I remember at some point at the end of S10 and beginning S11 he did said that being in an OR and operating was not enough but he is a surgeon, that's in his DNA, researching as much as I am sure Derek was thrilled for, probably wouldnt had been the same in the long run...he needs the adrenaline and he needs the quiet in the OR!
