thanks dahling, for starting the thread. i had thoughts on their cute scene last night, but since it's not the most positive thought, i'll keep it to myself, as we start the new thread.

i do hope we get more of them next epi, but not because i missed them yesterday.

here was my thing. i think it needed to be played where derek was perhaps a little reserved with merideth. we saw him blow up at his friend, and it CLEARLY had to do with mer. then the next scene was him being ridiculously cute with merideth.

i don't mind cute scenes, but i think the scene needed him a little more withdrawn. i don't think you can just switch the feelings derek has off, but with mer, he somehow just switches.

that was my one thing, i wanted. him to be less cute, and funny with her in teh hospital scene. it would have been enough for me to see that small thing.

They were really cute together yes and supportive.. It's like Derek is shielding off his real emotions for Meredith.

supportive? lol. that wasn't quite my point. but we all see different things. for me, it was just how it was written. they didnt' need a silly scene, from derek, it just does not fit with all that is going on with him.

i certainly appreciated him giving support to merideth where her dad was concerned. i meant the tone was off.

He was supportive by saying they should have diner at her house.. It was kind of supportive..

More support should have been there during that diner scene yes.. Loved Meredith's desperateness though, especially when Alex put 1 foot into the house

i didn't say he needed more support during dinner. we're on two different pages here. but i think i get what you are saying. i don't agree, but i think i get it.

i did like how she ushered alex over. he didnt even care if it was awkward, he was just hungry. i also loved izzie throwing her words back at her. that made me laugh.

no, i'm onto the next book actually. i too love group stuff. i loved how it was known that no one knew where alex lived. lol. that cracked me up.

merideth really needs to lock her bedroom door. something else i got from teh episode.

He was always a bit of an outsider, but I like that he's living in the house now.. Should be interesting now with the George/Izzie stuff.

Brie- I agree about the Derek stuff. It was obviously a little odd how he was pretty expressive about how he's feeling towards his patient, and even Thatcher, but then to Meredith he's all normal and cute.
