I think he was surprised that Meredith kept the professional act that Derek put up earlier in the ep.. Because she came right down to business,and I guess there was a sense of surprise that Meredith wanted to do this, with him, and to do such a project.

Oooh.. a wedding on his land.. That would be awesome!

I definetley think he respected her a lot in that last scene. Because of her professionalism and her proposal.

in the grey's blog I read that they hadn't seen each other at all in the time that had passed by, those 5/6 weeks.. so it was kind of a step forward again.

I think Derek was slightly hurt that Meredith didn't come bring him the scans of the patient with the tumor personally.

They have no choice but to work with each other. No matter how awful and painful it may be for both of them, they need to at least talk professionally. Meredith need more of him because he's still the boss.

I like them now more than ever.

They do need to be professional, which is what I think they were tryig to do at the end. They put aside their personal feelings so that she could tell him about the clinical trial.

I'm curious how this clinical trial will go over.. Its definitely going to give us plenty of M/D scenes.. that's for sure

And it shows that Meredith does have a serious interest in neuro again.. or at least in solving the medical mysteries and finding solutions to them.

I definetley think their goig for neuro with her. She's always good at all areas but that was where she was best. And I'm glad that it means there working togthere alot.

But I think things wo't be smooth sailing. It might be to begi with. But then maybe something goes wrong like they loose a pateint for something.

I think in the beginning it will be easier, but as time goes by, the time spend together will become harder, especially when I'm sure things will become more complex.. Perhaps a certain loss of a patient... It could be anything really.
