how do you think the Der Rose thing will play out? i think that Rose's ex will come back and maybe she will choose him. I only think that because the writers made a point to mention the ring she wears round her neck

Maybe. It would makes sense given how it was mentioned but then I really want it to be Derek's decision. Maybe he backs out of the date at the last minute or he goes and has a miserable time. I don't know but it has to be his choice. Or Meredith is going to look like his consolation prize.

i think your on to something, Maybe he does back out at the last minute. Or maybe he thinks in the last few years he has been through alot with Mer and that she is worth waiting for

Rose is a marriage woman and Derek wants to marry a woman. It's clear her function in this show. Rose can give to Derek what he wants. She's available, she has a ring around the neck, she's ready... Boring and contrived.

Meredith is the opposite. She grew this season but Derek can't see it. He manipulated their breakup because he chose Rose, a woman who is ready for him (after only three days).
Good luck to the writers for to fix it now.
