IMO if you look at the characters solely, I think it's all in character.

It's impossible to omit Shonda from the discussion because she's the creator, she jokes with her characters. Like I wrote in my previous post, Meredith is a complex character but I really think that Shonda wanted to move her, she wanted a new Meredith. People grow and they change. Meredith deserves a little stability. She deserves light and not only darkness IMO

You don't get what I mean.
I'm just saying to look at the event that occured and see if it's in character. People keep complaining about Shonda, but they refuse to look at what happened and if it's even realistic. If it is something that the characters would do.
90% of the fans just blame this all on Shonda, without even looking at the fact if it's in character or not. That's all I'm saying, just look at the characters, not the people behind it..

I agree Karen but I also think that without IW story, probably MD couple would have had a different season finale. Probably, after the ferry event, Meredith would have started to communicate with Derek. They wouldn't have been in a limbo again.

We're waiting for S3,but I watch episodes at the same times that in USA! I can't wait because I'm a really fan of Grey's and in particular Meredith/Derek,of course!

I think some things could have been different but not that much different, all we have ius what people say is that it would have been different so i dont know how much trust you place in them!

According to Shonda they wouldn't. And I'm not sure if it had that much influence on the MD storyline to be honest.
