in the ausiello interview she said she didn't change a thing, and that this was the plan. Not sure how much to believe of that, but still.

Exactly... It's hard for me to believe in her words... I don't think it's simple for a creator to admit a bad decision. We know that she changed the script for IW because in the original plans, Burke married Cristina (she talked about their marriage in september) and MD couple should have started to work like a couple after the ferry event (like Shonda said in an interview).

I don't think Shonda would ever reveal such plans by then, if she planned it for the end of the season, and especially not spoil it, so I already doubt that report.

And Shonda could have made them talk, but she didn't and I guess some people don't like to talk much after such an event.. At least not about what's really bothering them, so I think the course of their relationship may be realistic.
It's not how fans want it to be, but it is realistic in some ways, not all ways.

Shonda talked about a great wedding and obviously the only marriage couple in GA was Bang.

It's not how fans want it to be, but it is realistic in some ways, not all ways.

They were a couple without a real communication.
They never had a real possibility for to work like a couple, for to resolve the issues together.

Shonda talked about a different Meredith after the ferry event. Meredith should have started to communicate especially with Derek but Shonda preferred to write a contrived break up for them.

Well she said a wedding yes, which we got.. She never said that they would say 'I do' There's a difference between marriage and wedding.

I think everybody has views on how they wished things to happen, but I think it's a big question if it's in character for Meredith to speak about her feelings like that.

I think it's quite in character for Meredith to not speak that easily about feelings and such. She may be aware of them, but I'm not sure if Meredith is able to express them that well.

Then again George and Callie also got married. Shonda may as well have been talking about that.

That's pure speculation really.

I would simply want to ask fans to keep Shonda out of it, and look at the M/D situation clearly, and watch if it's in character for them to behave that way.
IMO if you look at the characters solely, I think it's all in character.
