She tried to kick herself up, she couldn't keep herself above water. And with the coldness of that water, she could easily lose a battle after a couple minutes especially with her lack of body weight.

She also fell in backwards and off guard. Her voice over also gave away that she had more to live for but she was sinking.

Apparently the fact that she had shoes on sucked, cause apparently they drag you down, so really there were a lot of things that made her go down, however people want to see it however they want to see it!! Some people will just see it like she gave up and then other's wont!!

Apparently Meredith had something known as Blue Water Drowning:

That is all due to the fact that the body is so cold, the organs basically shut down. The coldness preserves them. Which is why most blue water drownings that are saved don't even have brain damage.

In the promo you can see derek leaning aganst a wall, and he's got a collared shirt on, methinks he wouldn't be changing so soon if meredith was still dead so im guessing meredith is in a stable condition. Who do you reckon is meredith's next of kin, is it, derek, christina, thatcher...i'd hate for derek to have to make a decision!

Shes definately not dead. She cant be. Good thinking about that blue water drowning. I never even heard of that. God. What a great episode!

Im guessing meredith, obviously must be okay if derek has the time to change, and when you see him in the promo it's not OMG the love of my life just died, i dont think it's sad crying, maybe relief crying?

I mean i know meredith is gonna live but its still emotional, lol!

tis ok, lis. characters on that show take their time annoying me. i swear my friend said the same thing as you. last week she couldn't deal with her, and this week too.

i think its interesting you threw out her immaturity. i never thought about that. that is something to ponder.

i really can't wait to see how they explain it. will they be bold and have her say part of her wanted to be in the water, or give her an out?

i was thinking someone might force derek to step away, or someone might bring him clothes. it looked to me that they were still pulling for her then. i'm betting it's the "it' all up to merideth now" portion of the show.

The new greys magazine is out, in it they had a new merder picture, it might be old but i've never seen it before, on a page that had an Ellen interview, and then they had a merder bio page, it was cute, lol!!

I don't think she's necessarily immature, but in this relationship she is.

Yeah, I'm not really thinking too deep about him being in normal clothing. He just needed to get changed since he was in wet scrubs, I think.

We dont know if she wanted to drown, i dont think she did i think that the Blue water drowning got the best of her really fast like it says, in 30 seconds! Meredith maybe depressed but she aint suicidal!

Can we kinda not bash on meredith please and say she's immature and what not!, i mean i get that you guys dont really like her but i happen to love her and i hate when people put her down!!

Okay does anyone think that, that picture above in the 2st big picture is new? Unless its from the stairwell, but i dunno if it is, something about meredith looks different, and derek just looks adorable with that look on his face!

um i happen to love merideth. take a step back, NO ONE is bashing her. and unless someone has inside info they'd like to share, we dont' know that she didn't want to drown.

here is the thing. that is fine that you dont' want to believe it. but because this is a messageboard, we are free to discuss what we think has happened or what will happen.

there are good and bad things about every character, and we won't just discuss the pretty. the bottom line is if someone doesn't share my opinion, that is fine, i respect that. and i would expect someone would respect mine as well.

we don't know what went down with merideth, and until we do, we are going to consider all options.
