I dont think its a coincidence that the two things shonda said would NOT happen, Derek having a car crash and Rose being "pregnant" ended up in the trailer...certainly are nightmares

I agree. Anyway I find weird to put that scene in the promo. It's bad buzz especially for a show who needs good ratings.

It's a nightmare or a lie. Anyway, we are sure about these three things:
- Rose is NOT pregnant.
- Derek isn't dead
- Meredith and Derek aren't getting married

they have to be dream sequences/nightmares, but it is what pulls the viewers in, you have to say that it makes for an intriguing promo.

It's not necessarily bad buzz.. Why should it be? it makes for interesting tv, it might pull the viewers in to see what Derek will choose.. a choice he most likely will not have to make.

In a way you could see those dreams as ways of Derek not wanting a family with Rose, and Meredith not wanting to lose Derek anymore.

Rose is bad ratings. A lot of people started to boycott the show when she appeared on screen. It's the reality. Now to put that scene on the promo it isn't a good idea, IMO. Anyway I'm not worried. If it isn't a nightmare, it's a lie.

i'm thinking it has to be a dream, But who knows it would be Derek's worst nightmare for Rose to be pregnant and then there is Meredith screaming at the end.

My sources tell me that the promo posted above is just plain old pointless torture, because Rose is lying through her pretty white teeth when she tells Derek that she's having his baby.

Now, why is she lying, and could she get away with it? That remains to be seen, but I can tell you that "Thorn" is just about done causing trouble for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek, because the two-hour season premiere (airing Sept. 25 on ABC at 9 p.m.) is apparently Lauren Stamile's final appearance with the show.

Ausiello: WTF is right. That little promo caused quote the little firestorm over at ABC yesterday. Not only did it incur the wrath of millions of Rose-weary Mer-Der fans, but it essentially branded one of the network's most valuable assets (i.e. Shonda Rhimes) a big ol' liar. You see, in her ABC podcast that followed the show's finale last May, Rhimes assured fans that Grey's would not be employing any soap operatic stunts to pull Derek and Meredith apart this season -- and she specifically ruled out knocking up Rose. But someone apparently forgot to pass that bit of information on to the folks cutting together that incendiary clip. "I would not deceive our fans," Rhimes tells me, "especially those loyal enough to listen to our podcast."
