Episode 4.04 - The Heart Of The Matter

ABC - The Chief's wife, Adele, rushes their niece to Seattle Grace, the hospital where she once had her prom, Izzie reveals her feelings for George to a mutual friend, and the reaction is not what she expects, Derek teaches Cristina how to be a better teaching resident, and the world's oldest living intern, Norman, misdiagnoses one of Meredith's patients, on "Grey's Anatomy".

• 08/11 - 18-year-old Courtney learns that her cancer has came back and is getting worse. She is told of the options opened to her but she wants none of them. She wants to go back home and die there. Elsewhere, a woman who was told she was terminal and decided to end everything in her life (break up with her boyfriend, get rid of her possessions, quit her job) learns that she will live afterall. A woman named Ruthie comes to the ER because of an injured foot. The doctor learns that Ruthie has been on an extreme regime and training in order to lose 40 pounds. Ruthie and her fiancé Will admit that they agreed to get married when Ruthie lost 40 pounds. In exchange for the sacrifice, Will would quit smoking. The doctor tells the couple that, besides the foot injury, Ruthie has two other fractures. In order for the repairs to hold and recovery to be faster, she will need to eat. After vomiting, she is brough in surgery. Later, the doctor finds Will smoking. He says that Ruthie will forgive him. Thing is, Ruthie died because her body was too weak. The doctor calls Will on his need to make Ruthie be hot instead of accepting her for who she was. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Ron Melendez, who plays the sexy and mischievous Dr. Andy Archer on General Hospital: Night Shift, will guest star on Grey’s Anatomy this fall. Look for Ron Melendez to pop up in the fourth episode of the upcoming fourth season. His character, Will, is the fiancé of a Seattle Grace patient. Since Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes famously frowns on spoilers, we can say no more about his character at this time. The role should hardly be a stretch for Ron, considering: Both Grey’s Anatomy and General Hospital are shot on the same studio / lot in Hollywood. General Hospital is right next door to Grey’s! Both shows are hospital dramas that feature hot young surgeons who sleep with their co-workers. We couldn’t resist that comparison.

Is there any hope for Meredith & McDreamy? That's the big question Grey's Anatomy fans want to know. Well - what I can tell you it does not look good for Mer & Der in the season premiere of Grey's, they are definitely splitsville. Meredith's sister, Chyler Leigh, comes on board as an intern so it seems there could be a weird sister-sister-Hugh Hefnerish love triangle in the works but primetime couldn't be that dirty, could they?
