I thought it would be interesting to see if there would be repercussions for Meredith and/or Derek for going through with Beth's surgery even though the board told them to only proceed with one more (Jeremy). Is Derek going to find out that Mer didn't get permission from the Chief for Beth's surgery? Will we see Derek covering for Mer to protect her from those repercussions?

Also, it would be great to see MD winning some sort of award or some kind of acknowledgment for their clinical trial success. I'd LOVE to see Derek giving some kind of speech to the hospital, Beth and her parents where he thanks Meredith for her love & support, her determination, and her willingness to never give up. That she was the biggest reason for the trials success because of her research and her tenacity in starting the whole thing up.

That is something that can't go unnoticed, especially since the chief seemed bothered by it in the finale. I hope they bring that up. It could be interesting story for 1 ep.

It would be a very interesting story if they open it up. On the one hand, Mer lied to Derek and said she got the Chief's permission. Derek didn't have any reason to believe that she didn't. So, they went against the rules and wishes of the board.

However, if they hadn't done that Beth never would have had the surgery and they wouldn't have had their first success.

It would be interesting giving the circumstances. Also, how would Derek react? I'm sure he'd understand and protect Meredith. I think Derek would say it was his idea because he is the attending and the patient lived so... but Mer wouldn't want Derek to put himself in a bad position when she's the one who withheld the information.

Also, I'm not sure how they handle clinical trials? I don't know how many successes one has to have for the accolades?

That is a very good question? I'm not sure. One would think that now that MD have had a success story they would want to continue with the trial and teach about what they did so that other hospitals could emulate their example for the future.

Of course, they'd also have to go back to the regular cases along with any future clinical trial patients.

ITA! I don't want Derek to be totally in the dark and be blind-sided with the news. I would like for Meredith to know that she had to tell him. Hopefully, it's when she's opening up to him all snuggly wrapped up in blankets in their house of candles. That's my wish!

I'd love for Mer to be totally honest about it, and Derek asks her how come the Chief didn't say anything? So, then Mer tells Derek how she told the Chief about her mother's slitting of wrists, which leads to her telling him about the therapy.

And I want to see Derek being all protective of Mer, and Mere being all protective of Derek neither one of them wanting to get the other in trouble.

They wont be filming s5 till July/August late july, early august

Althought if a scene is cotinuing on from the finale to the premiere they would have shot it by now.

wasn't the filming date supposed the be shortly after the first read, which was a week ago?!
