I'm torn... I see Derek as the type who wants to do the "right thing," and to him, that's staying with his wife and working things out. On the other hand, he's in love with Meredith.

I don't know how he deals with all this personal trauma especially when both the ladies work with him. Add that to the fact that he's the head of neurosurgery and vying for the Chief position.

He does have a lot on his plate, but IMO all the characters do... It is a nice side of his personality that he wants to do the right thing, trying to give his marriage a shot.. But like you said, he's clearly still in love with meredith... It's a though call for him...

Very true. And he keeps it inside, so you think he is doing ok, but in fact he is not. I like characters like that. They are very interesting IMO

They are interesting to see on a TV show, it keeps me intrigued in a character.. Though it is sometimes nice to know how a person feels in a certain situation and you just don't get the entire picture of him and how he feels... Though that's the thing that makes you tune in next week Hoping you'll find it out then

What I like about Derek is how you don't know what he's thinking, or feeling. I always feel like I understand him, and then he'll do something that I just don't understand why he does it.
