When I first saw the part in the promo for that last pic, I was like, "Why is he even going for it?" She's not really responding, but she's not pulling away, either. So, I don't know what is going to happen with that scene.

Yeah Meredith's response is really, well it makes you wonder what is going on in her head.. But I love how they both smile when she walks out of the elevator..

I feel like the elevator scene is a bit longer, like Derek said something that will make her smile or something like that...

I think in that scene they might be talking (about what happened?) and Derek might be pushing her a little, you know, being all seductive and mcdreamy, and Meredith is just holding her ground not sure what to do. And then he just leans in, slowly, to give her the chance to turn away if she wants to avoid the kiss.

I got the feeling they won't kiss though. Not because Mer pulls away, but because I think is more like a tease or something.

Can't wait to see it

I thought that the (almost) kiss didn't take place in an elevator..

I think Derek will be all McDreamy and such

It's a pleasure to see McDreamy (S1).

I agree about the almost kiss. Probably we will see it in the ep.301 but other cute elevator scene for me it's from ep.302 (before Meredith's choice).
