I liked that flashback so much that I am even using an avi of it. It was an incredible scene. The line 'if you walk out now then we won't stand a chance'... so sad. Kind of shows you than when she went to Seattle, everything was already lost. But of coursem as I've said other times, it's hard to give up a 11 years old relationship, no matter what you have said in the heat of the moment.

Very true... And you can't help but love Addison for wanting to give her marriage a final shot by flying to Seattle

Yeah, we've never seen Derek's ring until the flashback. I remember specifically staring at it and thinking, "Whoa."

Except the only reason she came out was because the Chief called her.

Even though I hate the flashback scene, I always try to find humor in every situation, so it wasn't completely heartbreaking.

Yeah I thought about that as well when I posted that...
But then I thought that Addison probably had no idea where Derek took off to until the Chief called her.. So she really had no idea where to look I guess

True. But either, as Karen said, she didn't know where Derek was until then; or well, she could have just rejected the job.

But maybe the chief calling her was the final push she needed to go and try. I mean, I can't blame her for hesitating after seeing the figth in the flashback. maybe she was afraid he would kick her out the hospital as well. Maybe that is also why she entered the picture being so 'agressive'. She thougth that the best defense is to attack.

I try. I don't know... I was with my best friend, so we kind of laugh at everything. I was like, "Oh, he's leaving." But, I was wondering why some of his clothing was pink.

And then, the scene is playing and he's kicking her out and my friend's like, "Dude, I think he's kicking her out."

Then, I'm like, "Dude, she's wearing a CBGB shirt." Which, was so odd. It was probably Mark's.

Or Maybe she was staying with Mark the whole time and didn't even think about Derek until the Chief called.

I agree i dont think addison came back for derek!!

I doubt her sincerity now after seeing ep. 2. I used to like her but now ahhh i could care less, she stuffed up and now she's paying for it!!!

I do think Addison came back for Derek, not wanting to give a marriage up just like that, though it wouldn't explain why she stayed with Mark afterwards.. I wonder what pushed her to leave Mark just like that to head to Derek..

There is the possibility she used him, as a replacement for Derek. That's plausible I guess. But it wouldn't really explain the tension she has around Mark, I wouldn't call it discomfort.

I agree that this story isn't complete yet.. I hope we learn a bit more this season about their marriage and the reasons behind everything

Two people who fight like that, they feel something strong for each other. And someone could call it *love*...
I do think it as much as I think Derek is totally in love with Meredith now.

I just really disagree with everyone who thinks she came back for Derek. In my opinion, she only came to Seattle because the Chief called her and told her about Meredith. So, that's like, jealousy. That Derek found someone else. And, she's a bitch either way, because either she used/is using Mark by leading him to think she's in love with him, or she's lying to Derek about what really happened with her and Mark. So, yeah... she's lying to both men.

At least her relationship with Derek is over, so that's really all I care about.

I do think she returned for him. I can't believe you want to give up an 11 year marriage and an even longer relationship up just like that, especially if you don't know where to look for him.
The chance that the chief told her about Meredith is very likely, but perhaps she thought she would still have a chance before things would become too serious

She came out for a case. After the case was done, she was planning on leaving. Without a fight. Derek had to be the better person and decide that it was important to try.

At the official website, in the FAQs, Shonda says the Chief called Addison because Derek was with Meredith and he didn't like it.
