Isaiah Washington may have been fired from Grey's Anatomy, but Katherine Heigl will remain a resident at Seattle Grace.

Usmagazine.com has learned that the actress just received word from ABC inviting her back to the show next season.

Heigl's rep tells Us, "Katherine has received a formal pick up notice and is still hopeful that ABC will show her the same respect that they have shown for her co-stars."

In March, Heigl, 28, reportedly bailed out on contract negotiations after the actress found herself in a deadlock with producers over a salary dispute.

When reports of the failed talks hit the press, the network responded with a statement saying:

"Katherine is an integral part of Grey's Anatomy and its success. Fortunately, we have a long term contract to ensure she'll be with the show for several years to come."

"In recognition of her tremendous talent and value to the show, we recently approached Katherine with an offer to raise her compensation significantly above the terms of her current contract. We were surprised to see this gesture reported negatively in the press, and want to reassure fans that she will continue as Izzie Stevens."

Heigl bristled at ABC's decision to release a public statement and issued a response of her own saying that she was "embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that [ABC's production unit] Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information."

She continued: "I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them. No matter how unhappy I am about their decision to respond to this publicly, I continue to be passionate about and committed to this character."

Okay, here is my 2 cents worth, on all of this..

Was I an IW/Burke fan, not really. But, I am getting really sick of hearing what he did/didn't do wrong. It's in the past, leave it in the past. I haven't read the articles about him getting fired, so I really have no idea why he did. I really don't think he should've, but that's just my opinion. Another thing, why is T.R getting the paid the same about as EP,PD and Sandra? I don't think he deserves that much. Now, Katie Heigl is going to wait the same amount. It's starting to become ugly, and I hate that for GA.

Sorry for the double post, I just remembered something I wanted to say,

Okay, I was watching TV the other night and a commerical comes on, normal I don't pay attention to commericals, because they can get on my nerves, well this commerical was car commerical or Mazda (i believe I spelled that wrong) anyways, the voice over for the commerical sounds a whole lot like PD. Maybe I am just hearing it, and thinking about him, but I swear I have see it a lot lately, and it sounds like him.

TR doesn't get the same amount as EP or PD I think, because EP gets around the 200,000 right? TR only has 125,000 right now.

Yeah EP and PD are the highest paid, the only thing that they have the same, EP/PD/SO/TRK and probably the others are that they get shares or points from GA, i dunno what that is about!

Oh well, they should have done it just like friends, stick to the same amount so you don't get any 'I want to get more' 'No I wanna'
I like the arrangement the Friends cast had, that they would stick together as a team..

Then again 'Friends' is a lovely show.. I still want the DVD's, but buying 10 boxes is quite a lot of money.

I think they did, at least the supporting did EP and PD maybe joined up because they are the leads, well considered the leads so they'll obviously get more. I so think i read somewhere that EP and PD get the same or very close to it!! However i think KH got out of the joinging up with the other supporting and tried to get more or something?

I think a lot of them still stay in contact..

Just the show itself was fantastic as well

I still think EP is the one with the highest salary.. I don't think the GA cast stuck together for their salary because each contract was finished at different times.. The Friends cast sealed the deal at the same time and together.

no no it's apples and oranges. friends didnt have any leads. grey's does. you're not going to have a name like patrick dempsey be on the same level as justin chambers. it has nothing to do with talent.

so, no big show, greys, er, west wing the sopranos, sex in the city, you can't have the same salaries when there are clear leads, and clear supporting.

i personally think patrick is probably the highest paid one of the show. but there is certainly no way to work a friends deal on shows like greys.
